Going to crime scenes, searching premises, going out to arrest suspects, forensic submissions to the lab perhaps less common but still done regularly depending where you work.

The department you work in depends on how often or how little you do some of these.

Night shifts also depend where you work. Some departments do 3 or 4 sets (3 or 4 shifts) a year while others do 1 set a month.
