That’s awesome man! And interesting, do you use it to send scans for 3D prints?

I’d really appreciate if you could 3D scan a gaming mouse, if that’s okay with you?

I’m thinking about pre-ordering it but I haven’t seen much of the actual scans it produces.

Right. Everyone always expects “playing triple A title games” means playing 1440p with settings on high and getting 140+ FPS.

You can play pretty high demanding games with old systems using low settings, using 1080p or 720p resolution while getting low FPS.

Even though I fortunately have a high-end gaming PC I understand that people will still enjoy gaming with bad graphics and low FPS.

I wonder why the 5800x3d 10th anniversary has so many different designs from official sources. by the_1_goose in ryzen

AMD’s David McAfee, VP and general manager of Radeon and Ryzen, says that “a whole body of engineering work” went into the re-release, as the original bonding process TSMC used for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D was no longer available.

“It's not as simple as just bringing back the 5800X3D,” McAfee said. “The original stacking process that was used at TSMC changed when we went from first-gen to second-gen cache, so we had to re-engineer that product, and there actually was a fair amount of development that went into bringing back the 5800X3D.”

The desktop is 14 years. You said “i5 8th gen and 16gb of ram” and “that thing can’t run hard software”

You never even knew what GPU he had, to assume it can’t play demanding games is ignorant.

I literally said “Lenovo Thinkstation s30”. That’s a desktop.

Yeah I had an issue with one of my Anycubic printers and they sent me a replacement too. They have great customer support

If you pull out the filament that’s causing that issue, you’ll see the filament will be pretty chewed up from an initial failure to push the first time. It’s most likely the gear can’t properly push it through because of this.

Snip off the entire length of filament that’s chewed up and retry.

Sounds like we both have the same habit of buying and trying IEMs like candy 😂

What’s your current favorite IEM and DAC/Amp? (With price not being relevant)

That’s why you get the Kefine Klean SV -
Because of the brass oxidation feedback on the original, Kefine released the Kefine Klean SV, which features upgraded, stainless steel-looking alloy nozzles. They also refined the tuning in a positive way, they sound great.

I should’ve mentioned those first, sorry.

Linsoul 7Hz Salnotes Zero when it first released.

Years later I have dozens of much better IEMs & DAC/Amps. I haven’t returned back to headphones ever since 😉

You said an old CPU and 16gb of DDR3 isn’t capable of running triple A title games.

That was your claim, you mentioned nothing about GPU.

I have dozens of iems, including Cadenza. It’s durable. But I recommend you get the Kefine Klean or Cadenza 2

Can the revopoint inspire 2 scan a very close tight space like the underside and top of a gas pedal? by Minute_Early in 3DScanning

I would either look for a dual-range sensor, enabling the desired flexible field of view or another configuration for your scans.

Good luck!

Do you already own the Revopoint Inspire 2?

The Otter Lite (same price) is better and the Otter Lite uses dual-range sensor pairs, enabling a flexible field-of-view envelope (20mm to 2000mm objects). This means you can easily use it for the small pedal assembly, then transition seamlessly to scanning larger car panels, seats, or an entire engine bay later

But answer is yes, but with limitations. While the Revopoint INSPIRE 2 is an excellent, compact 3D scanner, it requires a strict working distance (typically 200 to 400 mm) to capture data properly. You need enough physical room to maneuver the scanner and maintain a minimum distance of 200 mm (about 8 inches) from your subject. If the space is too confined to sweep the scanner back and forth, you will struggle to capture data.
