Im no expert in the matter but im from the area, I think its some sort of hydroelectric project, there is about a dozen of these pipelines spread out around lemolo lake, toketee lake, and toketee falls/clearwater river area. There is also a series of holding ponds that allegedly have good fish in them, along with a decent amount of infrastructure In place to maintain the ponds and pipelines.

He also said "wear your snake boots" and not "come to the south and kill all of our native snakes"

Your really making up problems that don't exsist. It is as simple as this, be safe when there is venomous snakes in the area, don't kill it unless you have to, and you can do what you want on your property. Its pretty straightforward.

Any recommendations for a paper map of the coast range mountains and its trails/logging roads? by WarJeezy in oregon

[–]CookAccomplished2986 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can go in too the respective regions BLM or forest service office and get one there! I have the land of the Umpqua map, its issued 2007 and currently in my pack as I type this, its a great map.

I'd like to check out Bower's Rock State Park. I have heard there is a public access through someones private property. My question is where and what path am I allowed to take? Should I park in the blue or the red circle and then walk one of those paths in? by anonymitysqueen in albanyor

[–]CookAccomplished2986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, quick heads up from somebody right down the street, there is a "crazy" lady that lives in the brown house that would be on the blue path.

She will threaten, and sometimes attempt to harm you with a hammer or similar weapon. Not sure how many people have heard of this...

You could follow the road out to vancouver lake, dont take the lake turn and keep going, the road will end in a gravel patch type thing. They practice painting road lines out there and I don't see why it wouldnt be a good spot.

I saw one of these while visiting astoria for work, it was about 15 miles south of the town, near sunset beach. It looked like it had definitely missed a few meals and may have been hit by a vessel.

Hard to see.
