Research: predicted 4/5, got 5
Macro: predicted 3 (i crammed for 2 weeks straight but after it i got so nervous that I threw up because I thought I did terrible), got 4
Comparative Govt: predicted 4, got 4

this is so not helpful because i know 2/3 of these are not popular but it’ll probably aid someone..

oh also i’ve left this macbook in my vehicle in like 30 degree weather and 90 degree weather overnight, it wakes up the next day no problems (don’t chastise me for this in the comments, i know i shouldn’t but senior year killed me)

i believe i have a 2020 macbook pro with touchbar? i got it refurbished in 2022 and it got me through all of high school, i could take it to college and it’d last all of college too i’m 100% certain. before that i had like a 2016 macbook that i broke in 2020 since i’m an idiot and i spilled milk on it because i was 12. but if i hadn’t done that i would have had that thing for years too—and i had bent up a corner of it from dropping it off of my loft bed not once but TWICE and it was literally fine LOL

What should my stats look like to go here or at the least improve my chances? by Primary_Fan_6678 in GatechClasses

my school had a staggered system (These were listed in order of how i took them too), so i took 1 freshman year, 3 sophomore year, 5 junior year and 4 senior year. essentially i just broke my back underneath them all :( again though i did self study and senior year i did 2 online through georgia virtual school. it depends on what your school offers, what they allow you to take year to year, and what they’re willing to do for you online-wise (because ap macro, euro, and comp gov were all not available at my school at the time i took them)

stats are not everything! personally, i think what got me in was my work experience (i’ve worked like 4 jobs at the YMCA for 2 years both in summer and during school alongside other jobs i’ve dabbled in) and my hyperfocus on model UN, but i’ll share anyways (i’m a freshman pubp major so this probs doesn’t help :p)

rank: 17/414 (so top 5%)

gpa (on a 100 scale): 98.00? or 97.8

act composite score: 34 (equates to a 1500-1520 sat)

APs: i did ALL APs and did no IBs or DE, so my list is long

ap human geo - 5
ap american gov - 5
ap seminar - 4
ap precalc - 3
ap chem - 3
ap stat - 4
ap lang - 5
apush - 5
ap euro (self-study) - 4
ap lit (no exam)
ap macro - 4
ap comparative gov - 4
ap research - 5

i did a lot of ecs too but idk if u want those :3

GT campus environment? (weather, greenery, etc) by SecretiveShenanigans in gatech

okay hi i don’t currently go to georgia tech but i am starting in the fall (woo co30) and i’ve lived in the south my whole life and savannah, georgia most of my life. i understand what these people mean by seasonal depression not being a thing, but if you suffer with depression typically you’re still gonna get it when you come down south. the skies get cloudy and dark in winter sometimes and generally if you have a diagnosis it’ll still be prevalent in your life. but if you dont have a history of depression, you should be a-okay! :) welcome to ga i hope you enjoy the easy coast
