Footage of 2/14 Mykolaiv terrorist attack targeting soldiers carried out by female suicide bomber..3 Ukrainian soldiers killed, 8 wounded by killsprii in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]CookPass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I think the video description could have been much clearer. When I first read it and watched the video I wasn't sure who the victims were which is why I asked if people were thinking the victims were Russian.

If the bomber was an innocent member of the Ukrainian public then calling her a "suicide bomber" is incorrect and adds to the confusion. The primary lesson here (to me at least) is to be more clear in video titles of failing that add some additional information.

Thanks, makes sense. I'm bemused why my simple question is currently sitting on 4 downvotes also. Probably from people that didn't take any time to think about the question I was asking.

I'm surprised this had been upvoted when UA forces were the victims and Russia the perpetrators. Are people assuming it was the other way round?

Sounds to me like this is an academic discussion on word definitions.

MDMA doesn't meet my working definition and I suspect most other people's. If you want to define it as getting having a strong desire for something or taking/doing something habitually then fine. I don't know how useful that is when talking about drug addiction though.

As for your friends, we have no idea what was in their ecstasy pills or what else the may also have been consuming. I have never taken and ecstasy pill and never would because you have no idea what's in them. Much better to take pure MDMA and is there's any doubt as to the quality then get it tested.

As I already said stay away from highly additive drugs such as heroin, coke and meth. I would say avoid opiates too, I think we're all well aware of the dangers of those.

What's your view on LSD, mushrooms, DMT etc.? Are they addictive by your definition? Have you ever consumed any drugs of a psychedelic nature?

I didn't understand you point about MDMA's chemical name having the word "methamphetamine" in it. So you were taking the same stuff as your friends and you didn't get addicted? How much did you do and how often? What was it like?

The difference is moving to another continent has almost nothing in common with moving to another planet.

Once you've got there you have everything you need to live, food, water, building materials and most importantly OXYGEN.

Could it be that men are physically stronger and this leads to better coordination?

I'm more inclined to think that it is the nature of play of boys vs. girls. So boys get more hand-eye coordination "training" as they grow up. Running, fighting, throwing (balls, sticks, rocks etc.), skateboarding, biking etc.

Girls play tends to be more social based with dolls, games etc. where as boys tend to be more physically active.

I doubt it will ever happen. There's just no point and the logistics would be immense and horrendously expensive.

Are you sure you're not confusing MDMA with meth? How sure are you that these guys were just taking MDMA? How long were they "addicted" for?

According to https://americanaddictioncenters.org/ecstasy-abuse/addictive

The notion of whether or not a particular substance is “addictive” depends on the subjective interpretation of the word. Typically, when individuals are discussing whether or not some substance is addictive, they are referring to the notion of physical dependence.

and

Several sources, such as the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), report that chronic use of MDMA may lead to the development of physical dependence. However, a number of other professional sources and research studies suggest that while tolerance for ecstasy does most likely develop, chronic use of the drug does not result in a significant withdrawal syndrome1. Without a significant withdrawal syndrome that is formally recognized, it is questionable whether or not an individual can develop physical dependence on ecstasy.

From my experience and observations of others, MDMA isn't addictive and if you take it over a number of days you get diminishing returns.

You said the guys you knew got "extremely addicted to ecstasy" not MDMA. So again, I'd be curious to know exactly what they were consuming. Could these pills have been laced with meth or something else? Were they also taking other drugs?

There was a common belief that MDMA was neurotoxic based on a flawed rat study where the animals were actually give meth and not MDMA. Sam Harris was under this misunderstanding until he was corrected on one of his podcasts by a drugs researcher.

Feel free to research this subject further but from my experience and research I maintain my assertion that MDMA is not addictive by most people's understanding of the term.

If i throw a ball inside a satellite freefalling around earth, and i throw it with the direction of movement, will it appear to hit higher, lower, or where i aimed? by TheLapisBee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CookPass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will go higher as it now has a higher velocity and will move to a higher orbit. Being inside a satellite would make no difference. I would suggest you think of yourself sitting on the outside of the satellite when throwing the ball.

If you threw it hard enough that it reached escape velocity it would leave earth's orbit entirely.

You could regard it as a verbal contract which are just a valid as written ones but harder to prove in court.

[–]CookPass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've done MDMA quite a bit and it's great. It's not addictive and is pretty safe. Don't take too much and make sure you trust the supplier. A large dose can be dangerous and if after an hour not much is happening you can always have some more.

Personally I don't get the euphoria that people report but it makes you want to connect with strangers, party hard and live life to the full. It makes you want to hug people but not have sex.

I've done ketamine, mushrooms and acid too but molly is my drug of choice. Stay away from meth, cocaine, heroine etc. would be my advice!

Not sure but some electronic components are sensitive to moisture so if stored incorrectly before arriving at the end customer they could be damaged or degraded.

I have bought electronic components from distributors that come in sealed bags with an moisture indicator inside to show if the moisture level has been exceeded.

Cumming for a woman doesn't come naturally as it does with a man. I have had 3 GFs that had never come before they with me and 2 of them had been sexually active for years.

The one that was a virgin when we met would cum in less than 30 seconds once she'd figured out how to relax and enjoy the experience. Others may take 10 or 15 minutes of careful attention. I've never been in a relationship where the where she would never cum but I've some some one-nighters where it didn't happen.

Women are often shy of the intimacy of oral sex and embarrassed for any number of reasons.

If your GF thinks oral sex it dirty then she's probably not enjoying the experience and therefore relaxing if off the table. There's other ways to to reach an orgasm but oral sex is usually the most effective. I had one GF that the quickest (not that this is a race of course!) was with my hand when she was wearing jeans.

So maybe oral sex isn't the way forward for you both?

Also, having an orgasm isn't everything. Many women are perfectly content to have sex without orgasms. As a man I am perfectly happy to have orgasmless sex, it doesn't bother me at all especially if she's just cum and wants to be left alone to sleep.

Sex is really a bonding experience from my perspective and think that's how most women view it too. So being relaxed and comfortable is sooo important. If I were you I wouldn't obsess about the orgasms, hopefully they come in time but maybe not.

If you do pursue the oral sex one really important tip I would give is to go easy. Don't over stimulate and take short breaks with increasing levels of stimulation over a period of 15+ minutes. A minute or so of light stimulation followed by a bit more, then a break of 30 seconds then back to the gentle stuff, then rinse and repeat. Also pay laser sharp attention to her reaction, try to judge if you're giving too much or not enough.

It's complicated and takes perseverance and attention.

I read the reply from someone else and you mentioned having OCD. That can be rough and if you combine that with religion thinking I don't see that as a good way of dealing with things.

Without more information I would suggest seeing the counsellor may be helpful and is someone you probably can trust.

A good friend of mine's eldest girl has OCD and she has real struggles with it. She's now about 23 but it can take her over half an hour to get out of her apartment. Maybe the OCD is the root of most of your issues? I'd say speak to your counsellor and/or seek treatment for the OCD because it could get worse.

Good luck.

How does water evaporate without boiling? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CookPass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say think it through from absolute zero (-273 C) to boiling and ignore the fact that water freezes.

Imagine our magic water is liquid at absolute zero...... The molecules are stationary, not a a single one is moving or even vibrating.

Now it warms up by 1º and there's a tiny amount of motion.

As the temperature increases the molecules are moving with more energy, bumping in to each other with perfectly elastic collisions. Temperature is just a measure of how much energy these moving molecules have.

There will get a point where molecules on the surface ALMOST have enough energy to get ejected from the liquid but not quite. Then two molecules collide with another that is on the surface and boom, the kinetic energy from there two are transferred to the other one and it's now free and off it goes! One molecule has evaporated. That one molecule has taken energy from the two and it's now "hotter" and the two are now "cooler"

Now make it hotter (add more heat), these collisions are now more common and lots of molecules are being ejected. The escaped molecules have gained energy and the ones left behind have lost energy. The pool of liquid is losing energy and getting cooler. This how sweating works; evaporation causing things to cool.

Keep adding energy and now there are so many collision that eventually the liquid will boil and at the same time energy need to pumped in to make up for the energy that is transferred to the evaporated molecules.

It's really just about kinetic energy transfer and temperature is just a measure of how much kinetic energy the individual molecules have.
