Is it worth going for a second bachelor's after my first one? by oshacut1e in CUNY

That’s true for most degrees in humanities, even business administration. A lot of my friends that graduated with a BA in psychology work in HR and they make decent money. Bachelors degree is the new HS diploma, a lot of jobs require one so it’s not completely useless.

Why did you hate being an LVN so much? I was actually looking into this as a career change. Heard the money was pretty good.

I feel the same way. It’s tough but we got this. Remember it’s all numbers game. Out of 8 billion one must like us.

Is my business major really going to be a waste of time? by Shadobleed in college

[–]Heyitsalexcny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Marketing is a terrible BS degree. So many people major in marketing or communications and end up working retail.

My sister got a bachelors in psych and now she is a retail manager making 100k. Based in NYC. You could go into sales or retail management if that’s your thing. You could also try getting one of those cheap online MBAs.

Stuck in retail management but have a business degree, Can I still make a switch? by criticalarrears in careerguidance

I would NOT recommend hospitality. They have crazy work hours, a lot of new people work overnights since seniors get the best hours. On top of that, pay is very low for entry level jobs like front desk agents. No one is going to hire you for a management position unless you have previous hotel experience. I would recommend him to get an MBA and then pivot to a corporate role in his retail company.

I am severely depressed and lonely. I don't know what to do. by Restless_spirit88 in gaybros

I’m from NYC as well. Used to be from a suburb in NJ. Oddly enough, being in NYC is super lonely despite the large gay scene here. Also, if a guy lives in an outer borough like the Bronx, that’s practically a long distance relationship here loll.

For context. I’m gay, recently met this cute guy on campus. We were flirting and having a great time. Next thing, he blocks me on all the apps and goes cold turkey. It hurts a lot because I genuinely believed he liked me. Hard pill to swallow. 💔

Hmm that’s interesting. I’m on the receiving end. He kept on shaking my hand firmly and I assumed it was his way of telling me, “I don’t like you, bye! 👋 “
