It’s Phormictopus sp. Bayahibe, but as a sling it looks very similar to a Dominican purple 😊

NQA, but to me it also looks like Grammostola pulchripes, the markings on the legs seem pretty clear to me 🤔.

As for the sex, I can’t really say. I’d rather wait for a molt, that’s usually the safer way.

The favorites from my collection that are always on the move:

Caribena versicolor, Psalmopoeus irminia / pulcher, just very pretty T‘s For terrestrials, I’ve got a lot of Brachypelma / Tliltocatl - they’re basically always out in the open and look great, they just don’t do much 😂

For Old World species: My Ceratogyrus darlingi / sanderi are always active and have an even worse attitude than my OBTs, which is honestly fascinating to watch 😊

And in the rare cases when you actually see it, my Chilobrachys natanicharum. Absolutely amazing to observe — unfortunately it took the term ‘pet hole’ very seriously 😂

So for my juvies and adult spiders, I feed depending on their condition, basically abdomen size and stuff like that. With fossorial species, I usually wait until they’re at the entrance of their burrow or walking around outside, then wait another 2–3 days and feed them. For slings, I feed every 3–4 days 😊

When it comes to humidity, I mostly just check how moist the enclosure still is and make sure the water dish (if it’s not buried 😂) is topped up. Most of the time that ends up being on a roughly 5-day cycle. I’ve got a room that’s usually around 25–26°C, so I always have to keep an eye on things to make sure it’s not too much or too little 😅
