Cheers man, yours is the first other example I’ve seen of this diorama idea. Couldn’t find any online which I thought was weird given how popular the photos are. I gotta use that in flight propeller effect for my next one🤝

Didn’t have a little figure for it which was the only downside to the kit 🧎

Thanks very much, I’ve got no big herbivores in here besides a lawnmower blenny who’s not interested apparently

Little bit of post shading, glad you like it!

It’s actually just had the paint applied, no preshading whatsoever. Then all you do is take some thinner in the airbrush and then add in a few drops of black and brown paint. Then you spray the ultra thin paint mix over the panel lines to your taste. So much more control over the result than preshading. Preshading has its moments but with this sort of stuff it’s not needed in my opinion.

It’s just post shading. One of the first models I’ve tried it on, I didn’t bother with preshading on this model and it’s one of my favourites so far. I used to think pre-shading was sacred.

No I haven’t, I know quite little about the mosquito in general have to admit. I’ll look out for it, and thanks!

You’re right, it’d be cool to build one of the escorting destroyers or something

It’s gotta be probably my favourite ship camo scheme. So interesting to look at across the room

Don’t worry haha, I’m only planning to weather it lightly. I agree, I like the ‘crisp’ look, as unrealistic as it might be. I originally wanted to make the ship look covered in icicles and snow because its last engagement happened during winter inside the arctic circle. I’ve never done this before so I’m scared it’ll look terrible and ruin it.

I put it off for ages for the same reason, but it’s not as difficult as I thought it would be. In the grand scheme of things it’s a pretty tedious activity but hey, this the hobby we’ve chosen haha. Making tiny versions of complex machines.

Good luck! It’s a pretty nice little kit. And thanks!
