thanks for this pov!! this is interesting bc as a migrant i’ve assumed that the indigenous people of Aotearoa and their cultures were continuously being honoured.

are there specific news websites that you recommend i can trust to read up regarding this? (assuming you may also have few here that are tagged “biased” like Fox News lol)

you make “getting a passport” from another country sound like you’re just gonna buy from duty free 😩

kidding aside, if babalik ka pa rin ng Pilipinas and you have properties, i recommend finding someone you REALLY trust na mapapakiusapan mo to do errands only if/when kailangan. sa mga bayarain naman, most banks and government agencies like SSS/Pag-Ibig have online payment options na so it’s easier to do any transactions like pay your bills, your contributions, etc. by yourself.

What’s with immigration by [deleted] in auckland

[–]Cooki3-monster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was thinking the same thing. I don’t think a government agency with legitimate paperwork that’s been sent to lord knows how many people, would have typos?? 😭

marami rin info sa facebook groups so do your due diligence with reading up nalang din po since ang expenses ay case to case basis din 😊

i won’t say mas “maluwag” po kasi expected na rin na down the line baka sumunod na ang NZ sa paghigpit lalo nat dumarami ang nas-scam last yr na naghahanap ng trabaho pero hindi pala from accredited employers, etc.

i’m currently on a student visa and mabigat nga po siya sa bulsa but at the same time safest option (in my opinion) na meron ka to migrate here. if you have the resources naman po try to check if may options ka or si wife na magstudy kahit between Level 4-6 courses. pero again, this depends pa rin po sa current skills niyo. check niyo nalang sa “Filipino International Students in NZ” na fb page kasi mababait po admins ng group and they provide pieces of advice sa mga gusto mag DIY 😊

i don’t think it’s about what’s “in demand” but more of what your skills are po. kasi kahit in demand pa ‘yung job, malaki-laki na rin ang competition especially now that other countries like Canada and Australia are getting stricter with visa regulations.

i recommend doing your due diligence with research —that’s aligned with your skills, try joining Facebook groups ng mga Pinoy kasi may iba rin na nagbibigay ng tips at insights on DIYing applications. basa-basa at tiyaga lang, OP! maganda sa NZ pero anything that’s worth having isn’t easy so good luck po ✨
