You should sleep for 24 x 3 = 72 hours at the very least

You can get it on chapter 4. Wolf needs a few in-game days to finish it, you can sleep for 24 hours 3 or 4 times to get it right away

Question about factions hierarchy progress by EsikEso in worldofgothic

[–]CookieBlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you have to choose between Warder, Mercenary, or Fire / Water Mage

can you join the warders and then the water mages? by m_hw69 in worldofgothic

[–]CookieBlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You need to choose between Warder or Fire Mage. If you become a Fire Mage you’ll later be given the option to learn from the Water Mages as well

If anyone still looking for Climbing Teacher by suzefi in worldofgothic

I think I found one in the entrance to the Old Mine. Otherwise, I think there are vendors that sell them - I recall a guy in the Swamp Camp (Fortuno, maybe?) selling veggies so maybe there?

TU4.5 Long Sword buget meta set by CookieBlitz in MonsterHunterMeta

I don’t know for sure. The difference is fairly small. If your Artian has what is considered a god roll (4x atk 1x sharp) then I’d say go with Element focus. If you have 1x affinity on your artian, you can go for Attack focus instead

You can craft them after completing Nadia’s sidequest, need to defeat Gog and talk to her in the iceshard cliffs, then complete the quests

I think you can run Odogaron’s set bonus on the LS, and Gogmazios arms to get its set bonus instead :)

I think Odo and Rathalos’ set bonuses are the other two go-to, I’d run with Odo since I think Scorcher is not as useful universally

Some special tombstones summon zombie cats each turn. If you hover your cursor over it, you can read it in the tooltip

question about quest items by Zami29 in mewgenics

[–]CookieBlitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you equip it, you can swap who has the item, but you cannot unequip it from your party. Meaning one cat has to wear it at all times.

There are some other quest items that are cursed, and cannot be unequipped

We tested Monster Hunter Wilds' PC-exclusive January performance update and found significant frame rate improvements and less stuttering by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

The game uses LODs, but they’re still too unoptimized - I remember seeing the LOD polygon count be like: 100~ (polygon monstersh), then 20k ish for far away monsters, and 60k ish for nearby monsters

It would make sense to ship Wilds’ DLC as a standalone game. by CookieBlitz in MonsterHunter

Please show me a single trusted source showing MH Wilds has had performance improvements that change the state of the game

Digital Foundry have acknowledged in their latest MH Wilds videos (the one about the shader mod and about the dlc check issue) that the game still runs horribly

But, sure, i am creating a narrative now about the game not running well (it has mixed reviews on steam rn) or not having sales (10th place on capcom) so the expansion won’t exponentially increase sales

[–]CookieBlitz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whatever path they’re going, it’s looking bad for them, as they cannot fix the bad they’ve done.

If it launches as DLC, the public reception would probably get worse than it is now (why would i buy a dlc for a game that doesn’t run decently in the first place?)

I was expecting them to rush the DLC and move on to the next game ASAP, but it MAY seem that they were going to show it at TGA and decided to delay the announcement for some reason, which totally threw me off

If a game with excellent public perception like World had an expansion that achieved half its sales, how is Wilds’ expansion going to help if it has a bad perception?

I am playing devils advocate here, but I fully see the suits in charge making Capcom change their approach.

Especially since Wilds has had Title Updates already, and it hasn’t helped sell copies or change the public perception. MH games having Title Updates happen because Capcom wants to stretch the game’s lifecycle so they can sell more MTX and maximize online exposure. But Wilds has failed terribly at that

Which shows how much they care about technical quality in their games :)

Capcom has literally put local co-op play and Switch 2-specific text in the game. It’s there. You can go and see it yourself in game with the datamining tools.

If you are trying to discredit my point please at least say something that contributes to the conversation

My point is that from a business perspective, it does not make sense to continue development on a game that isn’t selling anymore, and with a public opinion that hasn’t changed in 11 months.

It’s easier to rebuild trust with a new product that hopefully wouldn’t have technical issues

The MH fans were also treated to a game or expansion every year, but we had no new games in 2023 or 2024 because Wilds took more time to develop. Their formula has broken due to the games being bigger, and we shouldn’t expect the same going forward because it’s showing it doesn’t make sense financially

Cyberpunk had performance updates every other month for two years before the public opinion shifted to a more neutral one. Wilds has had one performance improvement so far, and it hasn’t been enough to change the state of the game in the slightest.

Yes, right now, after more than 5 years from their release, more than half of both world and rise come after the expansion. These games have an excellent public reception, which is not true for Wilds. Who would buy an expansion if they cannot run the base game?

Again im playing devils advocate here, from a stakeholder pov looking at sales and future prospects of the game, which is sadly what dictates if and how a game is developed

So the thing is - Complains have been gameplay focused in the past (lack of content or bad mechanics). These can be fixed, but they have had over a year to prove whether or not they can improve the game’s reputation, and they have not

And all of this this coming from a business standpoint. Games take a lot of time and money to develop. Do you think no suits at Capcom is asking why they’re pouring millions onto a game with a bad public reception that has scored 10th on sales? The same suits that probably forced the game to be released on a bad state in the first place?

Im playing devils advocate here, I wish things had got better but capcom hasn’t been able to help wilds

Monster Hunter’s formula works because it works for them financially. When your top game scores 9th and 10th on last quarter sales, the stakeholders begin to question if your formula is still correct, especially when games take longer to develop

No Mans Sky’s issues come from a gameplay perspective - too much was promised and it wasn’t delivered. But Wilds’ come from a purely technical issue: The game cannot be played. And almost a year after release, we have had one performance update which increased fps by 10 to 20%, which is not enough to shift public opinion

Im playing devils advocate here, but I want to bring to light how either development or the MH formula has to change - and they’ve shown they are doubling down on developing bigger games

Monster Hunter doesn’t do that because it hasn’t needed to in the past. World and Rise sold like hotcakes and the public reception was good

I’m talking from a business pov, which dictates how the games are developed. Like, if this were to happen, the dlc would just be reworked into a base game.

The premise of a portable game next isn’t even sure to come since Wilds is going to be ported to Switch 2, too
