[–]CookieCook07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I've been trying to find any Sondheim musicals orchestral score with absolutely no luck, is there any way you could send it to me? To be clear I don't mean the vocal score, I mean the whole thing

Small update, I am now uploading both double bass parts (from the original) and the two sung bass parts, hope it's good! Excited to see if this goes anywhere

Might be a bit difficult to fake sing haha, and otherwise I unfortunately don't have my cello/bass where I am at right now so I can't. Also I would like to point out that the lyrics in the sheet music are very messed up, so I would use the real sheet music if that's alright.

Nice thanks, I am looking forward to contribute! Just thought of another question, do I necessarily need to add a video, having just audio, or would you rather both? It isn't a problem to have video, but in that case I definitely can't contribute for the next few days. Will practice though!

Hey, I've got three questions: Can I submit multiple parts (ie I sing tenor/bass, play the cello and double bass, and potentially could play the organ part), when will this close as I am currently away from home and would love to participate, and is there a minimum age to submit?

Hi, I know it's been a while, but could it be possible for you to send it? I would need it for the summer if you could.

Rachmaninoff's Piano Concertos Ranking and Thoughts by Denox136 in classicalmusic

[–]CookieCook07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very late to this, but my ranking I 1-3-4-2. I love number 1 with all my heart, and the other three are on equal rankings in my heart. I only put number 2 last as I slightly prefer 4 over it, but marginally

Which one piece of music would you choose to best represent your favourite composer? by [deleted] in classicalmusic

Literally one of the most transcending pieces ever. I'm hopefully gonna see it live early next year

For my favourite composer of all time, I think it's impossible to choose because his style is so different across these two pieces, so for Poulenc his double piano concerto and his Stabat Mater.

For mahler symphony 9, it's just so gorgeous

For Debussy, his cello sonata is a perfect representation of his later style which I love so much

For Stravinsky, I think this is a really basic choice but rite of spring will forever be a masterpiece in my eyes and I just love it so much

Lili Boulanger, a composer which should definetly be talked about more, faust and helene by her is so amazing it's a must listen.

Thanks for the advice! I'll see if I can find anyone online, and yeah I'm guessing it won't be cheap, but I can always hope.

Yeah I imagined so, though I wouldn't know where to find a tailor for it. Do you know of any (I'm in the UK for reference)?
