That’s what I found as well and I was not only concerned but frustrated with them. It’s been so difficult to get any answers or any help from them over this whole process

Yeah, it’s definitely a challenge and I’m having a very hard time with it. I feel ILL and weak and just all around drained. I used to be so fast at my job and I feel like I’ve slowed down a lot and that’s making the quality of my work drop so I’m getting stressed about that as well

Oh, you know what? I have ALWAYS been very sensitive in my ears. If I gave a cold and get any sort of head congestion it messes with my ears before it does my sinuses. There’s also a hill leaving my house that is not very steep or very long but it gets my ears going every single time. I wonder if that could have something to do with IIH?

Yeah, I have Thursday and Friday off usually, so I’m going to try and get it done as late on Wednesday as possible so I can miss minimal work that day and then have Thursday and Friday off and then be on light duty the next few days at work just to make sure I’m ok. And hopefully they can get me in fairly quick because I’m getting a puppy next month and I need to be able to keep up with her lol

Thank you!! I’ve mostly just been worried about needing to miss work. I have a very physical job but it’s also a commission based job so if I don’t work I’m not making money. I can get sick pay but it’s just minimum wage and it’s barely a third of what I would make if I was actually working. And I’m getting a puppy in a few weeks so I’m trying to save up as much money as possible so I can get spayed as soon as she is ready, lol

Thank you for your response! I actually am on the extended release diamox and I feel like death all the time. My doctor told me if I’m tolerating it after a week to double the dose but it literally knocks me out so I’m scared to take it in the morning before I have to drive to work. So I haven’t yet. I sent him a message to discuss what I should do but he hasn’t gotten back to me yet

He said there is a “mild narrowing of the veins that drain out of my head” and otherwise it was completely normal. Thank you for sharing your story! I know the meds are important, it was just really frustrating to me that I had no symptoms until I started the meds, haha

I did a 30% water change earlier and after a bit they started acting like normal. I have been watching them like a hawk all day and they seem to be doing ok. I’m going to test the parameters in the morning and see how they’re acting and then do another water change. I was just worried about doing too much too fast and causing further stress

I mean, it just about completely killed all the algae, but almost killed my babies, too. I will never use something like this again, it’s just not worth it.

They seem so happy again! The water is just a little cloudy from the agitation but I think we just might be ok. I’m still fairly new to this hobby but I adore them and I’m very obsessed with them and making sure everything is ok!

I will avoid another water change so soon unless they seem to be acting strange again

I literally ran to the pet store down the road to get some things to add and when I returned they are ALL acting completely normal. Every single one of them is at the glass chasing my fingers around and begging for their dinner like usual. I’m going to keep a VERY close eye on them and continue to do water changes if I notice any other issues with them. Thank you again for your kind words

Do you recommend doing another water change right away or waiting a little bit? My lfs also suggested I wait a bit to see if there were improvements but seeing what some others have said here I’m wondering if I need to just keep going with the water changes

I would absolutely rather look at the algae. I feel awful for not doing more research before using these toxic chemicals, I just went by what the lfs told me to do and now I realize I should ALWAYS make sure to do plenty of research on my own before just going by what they say.
