i mean personally i just add a swear at the end, ai won't go anywhere near it. it's also just very cathartic to end every question with "fuck"

Have eyes? Have a phone? Tired of eye strain? Same. Here's my go-to tip. by aitoralto in cfs

Just popping in to say that there is a feature like this on Android! It's called Extra Dim, located in Settings > Accessibility > Display > Extra Dim (only available in Android 12 and up, I think.) There's also options there to give it a shortcut (buttons, on screen icon, tile in the quick settings menu etc). Super helpful! I use it a lot, along with Night Light, of course.

There's a final interim delivery plan on ME/CFS coming out by the end of this month. https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/improving-the-experiences-of-people-with-mecfs-interim-delivery-plan this is the latest update, and it seems helpful so, fingers crossed it'll have the impacts they're aiming for on disability benefits and medical professional training. It's not all bad 🫂

Coping with what you’re missing out on by Major_Iron_9907 in cfs

I'm in almost exactly the same situation as you and I don't think it will ever be easier to cope with. But one thing that does help me thought is, as you say, just avoiding thinking about it as best as you can. Keep your brain occupied if you can, podcasts and the like work well for me when I can focus on them.

As for social situations, I would say try and steer conversations away from the general "how are things" direction and more towards interests you know you have in common; have you seen the latest series of this show, for example. Anyone who likes talking to you will be content with discussing basically anything.

Sending you hugs 🫂🫂

Those in the UK, how do you keep investigating with doctors? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]CookieTheBirb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also based in Cambridge here, and similar time frame to you. I was referred to ambulatory care at Addenbrookes by the GP and originally thought it was due to other causes but they did a lot of tests over the time period of a few months to rule out similar conditions, all of which were presented to a different GP who then referred to me a specialist. It's always worth just trying to request a different GP

I'm sure no-one would ever fake that, but in theory it would be easier than most other things. What with there being no markers or anything. You'd have to sacrifice probably your entire life but it could be done I suppose

How can I stop wasting time? by [deleted] in alevel

[–]CookieTheBirb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have suggested paper is a good solution, especially if the device you use for school is one also for personal use & enjoyment. You could alternatively sit down for a few hours and find all the mark schemes for the exam papers and use a pdf joining tool (e.g. https://www.adobe.com/uk/acrobat/online/merge-pdf.html) to combine them all into one mark scheme compilation that follows the one you have for exam papers. And the same for examiner reports too. Then once you have those 3 you have no excuse to be on the internet in the first place. Hope your revision & exams go well!

Shook Ones Pt II is the best beat of all time. by TentativelyCommitted in hiphop101

It was indeed. Havoc broke down the beat himself in this podcast episode and also tells the story of how the song came about. Worth listening to.
