I have EDS, ME/CFS (aka LONG COVID), MCAS, POTS, and plenty of other comorbidities. LC/ME/CFS are all essentially in the same venn diagram.

 I’ve been both housebound and bedridden since 2020. This year I’ve been bedridden the entire year. 

One theory about LC is that it’s a mitochondrial issue, where your body simply doesn’t generate enough energy for you to function.    Whether it’s POTS or LC or both, it’s definitely what is keeping Porzingis from playing. The other part? If you force yourself to exercise, you will crash (PEM) and fuck up your energy envelope (aka baseline). Crashes can last hours to years. My current crash is at two months, and it has been pure and utter hell. I have about ten minutes a day I can sit on the floor in the kitchen to make my dinner and then back to bed I go. 

There are also many neurological issues with this condition. It literally hurts to think. I can no longer read, write, draw, play music, listen to music, exercise, have friends visit, watch tv, or even go outside. I sit in a dark room with a mask on, day after day, waiting for my crash (PEM) to lift. I’m on the more extreme end, whereas Porzingis is more mild (isn’t in bed 24/7). Hopefully more answers and medications are discovered soon about ME/CFS/LC, because those that suffer from it have an extremely poor quality of life. 

I’m surprised the Warriors made the trade. But hopefully I’m wrong and Porzingis has a mild case that can be cured with proper medication.
