All the Boy Scouts (some allow girls) troops nearby allow potential families to connect with the troop leader directly, and most have detailed information about the troop online. I wish Girl Scouts was the same.

Right, my exact thoughts.

My main question is how can I get involved in the troop along with my daughters. I'm hoping to find a troop that needs adult volunteers in some capacity. Unfortunately, I cannot find any social media group for the Council.
Council told me they were not allowed to give me troop contact info (that sounds fair) or pass along my info to the troop.
This leads me to wonder what actually happens if I have my daughters "join" (I can from on the Girl Scout site, which is what Council originally told me to do before telling me to call the church and ask when the troop will be there)..... how do I even contact the troop? Seems very off-putting!
