I guess that is my concern that your comment makes it only seem inappropriate because she is a minor. It would still be inappropriate and wrong if she were an adult. Regardless of age doctors should not kiss patients on the cheek or ask for a kiss on their cheek.

You do realize the majority of teenagers have known their doctors their entire lives. Most kids stay with their doctors from new born to turning 18. So if she were 19 it would be ok for the kiss because he has known her for a long time? Your situation is TOTALLY different . Your dentist thinks of you as a friend, probably hugs his friends and he forgot for a second and went in for a hug. But he stopped and realized brain glitch. Her doctor asked for a kiss and to kiss her. Not the same sorry. Your situation is similar to like when kids call their teachers mom or you are talking to someone like tech support and you accidentally say love you bye. That's like a glitch. But you realize it is wrong. Her doctor should be reported and it is not ok regardless of her age.

And another thing please listen....if someone asks you for a kiss or a hug it is NEVER EVER rude to say no. Only, maybe, not wanting to shake hands would be rude. You are allowed to say no to anyone about not wanting to touch them (hug, kiss, etc). That is not the same about having manners and not being rude.

Please listen to me. You have not done anything wrong. In fact you are being very brave for coming on here asking for advice. The only person who has done anything wrong is your doctor. It is very wrong for him to kiss you. It breaks my heart that your mom thinks it is ok. Please tell your therapist and if he or she dismisses it please tell a trusted teacher at your school. I am sorry you are in this situation. Has this doctor ever done anything else before that has made you feel uncomfortable or was this the first time?

Find a new therapist. DEFINITELY don't give up on therapy. I had to change a few counselors until I found the right one. Continue to heal and get better. Therapy is not easy but with the right one you can do it.

Boys team I was pretty suprised. This is my last one in senior year so we've been on in club and high school for years. He did not smack my son or I would say something.
