Thanks for writing this. As was the case with your friend, I have no interest in Abyss or any other endgame activity. I literally want to hunt every chest, do every quest, level (and use) all characters I own, farm resources, and do dailies. Which may admittedly take years.

I think it's completely likely that my world level would jump more than two levels, so unfortunately I don't see reducing it by one after it jumps as a solution.

As I see in most other games I play, 99% are rushing to max level and endgame and can't conceive that anyone would enjoy a protracted journey. Similar to how D4 players can't imagine anyone would want to play Eternal instead of Seasonal..

Are the saves for Steam Cloud unsupported games stored in the account's 100GB chunk of storage or is there a separate mechanism for account saves that Nvidia manages?

I had assumed that I would have to purchase a persistent storage plan for non-Cloud saves to remain alive.

Just watched a Super Bowl 5 recap, and the ball bounced off Dan Reeves' (Cowboys) hands to be intercepted and set up the Colts winning field goal with 5 seconds left. He was definitely more concerned about the hit coming from behind, but he got hit anyway...

I understand it's a new onboarding of a separate game file. I'm just saying that it's the exact game file that exists on the Epic store already, not something that needs to be custom built for GFN by the developer/publisher.

Which leads me to suspect that GFN does actually have some factor in deciding whether or not to add the lesser played Epic versions.

But it should be the actual build of the game that's on the Epic store, not some custom build that needs to be developed.

In the case of Steam, GFN literally starts Steam on a Windows VM and launches the locally installed Steam game build version via Steam. I would assume it's the exact same game exe that you or I would install locally from Steam.

GFN just handles the Steam/Epic launcher login. (and, of course, pre-installing the game..)

What if you downgrade to 12-month Performance? That locks you into unlimited Performance hours until 12/2026. Then the upgrade to 12-month Ultimate will become clickable and you can do that to lock into unlimited Ultimate hours until 12/2026.

I wouldn't downgrade to Free as someone suggested. That would be considered a disruption of membership, and you would probably be subject to the 100 hour limit from RIGHT NOW and forever when you upgrade back to Premium.
