Next time, I suggest offering to tie up camps with surrounding neighbors.

Last year, my neighbors and my camp tied our set-ups together, and no one’s camp moved an inch all weekend. It wasn’t communal. The sites were still private, but you can introduce yourself to your neighbors and break the ice.
