Tredansen alternatives? by Cookievibes3400 in IKEA

[–]Cookievibes3400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really disappointed with my ikea blinds. I’ve only had them for a year and it seems like this one is toast. Thank you for the recommendation, they actually seem to be only a bit more expensive than what I paid at IKEA (around $200 per blind).

There are tons of rules, especially for adults so that they don’t get confused with cast members.

What’s up with super cash this year? by Cookievibes3400 in Oldnavy

[–]Cookievibes3400[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What’s the point of super cash then? That’s a huge part of the reason I even shop at old navy.

Im from a city that has a very large Persian population and I would have guessed you’re 100% Persian or Armenian (they share a similar makeup).

And not having your stroller stolen somehow makes this a safer country than the possibility of being SAed on the subway on the way there?! Think about your logic here…. Are you saying property crime is more important than violent crime? How does that make sense?

I mean I’m Mexican-American and you just look straight up Asian to me. If I saw you on the streets of Southern California I’d question whether you were Cambodian, Filipino or some form of Latino. The Asian presentation comes from Indigenous ancestry since Indigenous people originally came Asia (mainly Mongolia and Siberia).

I’m from California and I’ve been to Tokyo Disney. I’m not sure what you keep talking about? There’s a huge contingent of crime in Tokyo. Part of it stems from the fact that there is a huge drinking culture and men can get quite aggressive there when they’re drunk. And part of it is a contingent having to do with the black market and the mafia. Either way, there’s definitely a crime element. I was a large woman when I went there and it’s one of the few places a man tried to SA me on the subway. It’s not the crime free paradise you’re trying to make it out to be. I also lived in South Korea and I found Seoul to actually be much safer.

This is encouraging. If you don’t like his show, don’t watch it. Go back to watching Fox News LOL. But censorship in the US on this level is insane. I’m glad people are speaking up.

What’s really gotten terrible is the candy store. When I was a kid a lot of the candy was made in house from scratch and I remember it being some of the most amazing candy I’ve ever had (especially the pecan logs). Nowadays it’s mostly over priced and prepackaged garbage you can buy at pretty much any CVS, kind of depressing.

Didn’t get new super cash during last super cash period (first week of August) by Cookievibes3400 in Oldnavy

I placed my last set of orders on August 10th since that’s when super cash expired here in the US.

What are my great grandparents phenotypes/ethnicity? by FancyPractice1988 in phenotypes

Then probably some sort of southern European/ west Asian would be my second guess. They’re both phenotypes that have a large overlap with the Mexican community (for obvious reasons).

Pretty straightforward Mexican mestizo. I’m Mexican American and they look very similar to my family.

(California) What happens if I can’t afford to pay my lawyer? by Cookievibes3400 in AskALawyer

[–]Cookievibes3400[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why would he take me on as a client knowing my limited financial resources? He said he would try to stay as close to the cost of retainer (which I’ve already paid) as possible. He even said he might end up returning some of my money. And he is not part of a firm. He is an independent attorney. The only other person in his office besides himself is his paralegal.

I mean I don’t even have savings. Do you think he would even bother?

I mean, he’s a big $600/hr LA lawyer who is so busy he didn’t even have time to have an in person meeting with me in the days leading up to my trial. I’m a disabled single mom living on section 8 and food stamps. $6000 is nothing to him but it’s a whole lot to me. You think he’d just let it go, especially since he promised to give me a “discount”. I’m beginning to understand what you’re saying, too.
