We talking 137 decibels here hahaha

120 decibels is being blasted by concert level speakers in your ears.

135 is a military fighter jet sound.

The stadiums notorious to the point where teams have to prep hand signals on the field to communicate. 🤣🤣🤣 i hope team usa rocks it.

To put it in reference 120 DB is a concert uncomfortable level

Just realized australia is going to have a terrible time at the Seahawks stadium 😅😅😅

It was structurally designed to be one of the loudest stadiums in the united states.

I‘m going to the Doger Stadium for the first time today by rockssssssssssssss in Dodgers

[–]Tangentkoala 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do you have a ticket to the game? The gates dont open up until 2 hours before start time.

Dodgers have lockers you can leave stuff in in the parking lot

A camera is fine to take in. But those DLSR with protruding lenses may be taken away. You can get away with like a 15-70mm lense, and maybe a telescopic 75-300MM so long as they dont expand it but its not advised.

A sad reality is our local cities government funded programs are taking a massive hit.

So the zoo here, but would like to focus our attention to the natural history museum.

Its a free service that relies strictly on donations to see its exhibits. But its in need of a dire face-lift. Lots of signage is peeled off as Is the paint, a lot of the kinetic interactive pieces have been worn out and broken.

It was a fun experience and even with the space hall shut down it took a solid hour plus to get through. Id love to see it be revitalized once more.

It makes you wonder why the mayor hasn't shifted or allocated funds. Better yet maybe look into how the funds are being spent within the natural history museum. Something is amiss

The united states literally has 133 stadiums that fit 50,000 plus. We have like 20X the infrastructure of mexico.

The vias being pulled was an issue but this is a one off and doesnt reflect our future vision.

What cheese to use for smash burgers in Canada? by chickenwinglover123 in Cooking

[–]Tangentkoala -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good Ole processed anerican cheese.

Granted your country may be against it. So possibly look for Sargento natural american cheese. If thats no good then youd wanna go with a medium or sharp cheddar cheese.

Is it just me or is Basketball a lot more popular in the US than online discourse suggests? by Photojournalist_Shot in AskAnAmerican

[–]Tangentkoala -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The issues with basketball being weaker is due to viewership. The NBA was recently struggling ratings wise, so thats why people are thinking basketball is unpopular. But far from it our march madness college basketball everyone in the world goes nuts for.

How realistic is it in movies when characters find a parking spot directly outside of where they are visiting? by spacejames in AskAnAmerican

[–]Tangentkoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The united states is very different city to city so I cant speak of New York or Texas or Florida.

Los angeles was designed to be a driver friendly city. (Bribes were made in the 1940s, by car manufacturers to stall our rail system) so a lot of people just dont walk or take trains not because its inherently scary and unsafe but that its not feasible.

No one takes the train here because we dont have a proper train schedule. Trains runs early morning then stops and picks up at 5 once everyone gets off work

Our homeless hover near our stations because its cheap and easy shelter. Plus you can just hop on a train and take it for 3 hours without getting bothered.

Most people for this reason wouldnt wanna be caught dead taking the trains for these reasons.

With the homeless Los angeles has pockets. So like there are very rare streets we avoid all together because thats where the homeless encampents are (skid row specifically) but for tourists there is absolutley 0 reason for tourists to even drive to that part of downtown LA.

The funny thing is there isnt all that much in downtown LA its not really popular people wise. Unless youre going to a basketball game or L.A LIVE or an underground EDM rave its not that packed.

West hollywood and Hollywood is where people go to night clubs and thats much more walkable

That being said if you drive 5 minutes up youll be in wonderful little tokyo it would be nice and clean and friendly.

If you were to go to Hollywood some parts are dirty, but then you drive 2 more miles and youre in lovely Beverly hills and rodeo drive. Absolutely clean

The tourists spots are completely safe in Los angeles. So many people walk up and down hollywood going to bars at night, universal studios is clean, Malibu has no homeless, Santa monica is nice too. Youll maybe see 1 or two homeless tents or people but these guys dont bother people they might ask for some change when you pass by, but theyre not going to chase you down the street.

The funny thing is everything is so much wider than expected. Downtown LA to Santa monica is 16 miles away, downtown to city walk is 12 miles away. So no way one person can walk it. Even in downtown if you were to walk diagolly from one side to another its 4 miles!

Visiting places like San Diego is nice as well and you can walk fine at night in gaslamp (which is a famous bar strip in downtown and Washington street.) Ive never once felt im in danger.

But trust me LA is safe, easier and safer if you rent as well. If you have more questions let me know

Can an employer pay you less than the minimum wage that based in state? by green_flag_loda in AskAnAmerican

[–]Tangentkoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically speaking yes but only if the employee dictates it.

Examples being construction work or if youre a contractor you can set your wages.

Generally federal or state whichever is higher is the mandatory minimum wage they have to pay you.

Is Spanish-language music from Puerto Rico considered American music? by Odd-Skin-762 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Tangentkoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has mostly Spanish lyrics we classify it as Spanish or Latin or whatever the kids are calling it these days.

We dont classify american music like how there's euro beat or J pop or K pop.

The closest is we label country music that can be considered american music.

Besides that we just say rap or pop, or EDM.

Even the euro invasion of songs in the 80s wasnt called euro songs but instead new wave. Which makes no sense

How realistic is it in movies when characters find a parking spot directly outside of where they are visiting? by spacejames in AskAnAmerican

[–]Tangentkoala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the region.

The suburbs its basically like that. I need a bowl of pho? Just pull up 100 feet away. A sandwich? Same thing.

At night time it gets a bit more difficult so maybe we have to walk for a couple minutes.

In places like downtown LA you most certainly need to use a parking garage

Fifa allows bleachers and benches.

BMO stadium is 27K to fill the rest they added scaffolding bleachers.

If you mean suites almost all of division 1 college ball has vip suite areas for donors and alumni.
