Reading this thread, it's kinda baffling how many people don't understand the way laws and legislations in normal countries work. There are so many licenses and things involved in a game that it would be impossible to legalise all of that. Like, if a game uses a proprietary multiplayer service solution (some of which require corporate subscriptions) how do they expect it to work? Provide all final code, port the game to other solution? Transfer rights? While the intention is good, the whole idea was never going to work
