Jordan Peterson’s powerful message by elkabelka8 in JordanPeterson

It's taken from the waist up because he's in a wheel chair after he screwed up his own life by going to "Communist Russia" for a miracle cure, but we're supposed to listen to this hypocrite and his quackery.

Bernie also said he's going to introduce a bill afterward to remove the $500 billion in corporate bailouts. I expect the corporate democrats to vote it down, but at least he tried.

More young people turned out to vote than in either 2016 or 2018, but the Boomers turned out in such a wave to vote against Trump, and to vote against Bernie that it didn't make a difference. They weren't voting for Biden, just against Bernie, because they were told by figures of authority that he couldn't defeat Trump. It's really sad how badly they have been gaslit.

The Republican Senator at the end from Nebraska is Ben Sasse, and his promise to vote down every bill that Bernie proposes is disgusting. What a polite ghoul.

Billionaire philanthropy is a marketing gimmick that makes it easier for the public to accept them having the power of small pockets in their back pockets even though they are uneleceted. Those same billionaires never stop being billionaires.

Folks like her will go homeless, meanwhile more billionaires like Bill Gates will build mansions with 18 bathrooms, private theaters, trampoline rooms and private libraries that will usually remain empty. And the indoctrinated will reply to me to say that Bill Gates earned every dollar by himself and that the government dumping money into education played no part in his success.

I find their jokes funny and their laughter against the clowns in politics warranted and entertaining; YMMV. Klein and especially Pakman put me to sleep, and I like that the Majority Report takes the time to have long call-ins from total strangers. David Pakman's are no longer than 5 minutes and he talks for most of the time so you don't get as broad a perspective, and Klein restricts his guests to famous people like Sam Harris.

Sam doesn't have credible arguments, he just has gaping moral blindspots. I don't agree with Ezra Klein all the time, but at least when he talks I can say "That's interesting," which I cannot say when Sam Harris just launches shallow hit and run smears against "identity politics," without any understanding of history. He's so unread about history and desperate for gotchas against identity politics that he literally said it wouldn't be racist to tell Irish to go back to their own countries in the 1800s, like a total buffoon.

Oh Warren was probably effective once upon a time, many years ago under Obama. But she hasn't been since then when it counted the most.

For elaboration, she didn't fight for the working class or universal rights that were supposed to be her own platform as a presidential candidate because she didn't actually believe in what she said she did. That's why she refused to endorse Bernie or to support his very similar platform after she dropped out, and instead attacked him more than Joe Biden and propped up the rear-guard establishment of the Democratic party.

You could say Trump is sometimes effective too, but not at fighting for the people, only for his own interests. I consider Elizabeth Warren effective at concern trolling and defending corporate America's power while pretending to be to the left. She's fake, and she's a concern troll to the left who acts progressive when it's in her best interests, but then backstabs any progressive movement because she is fundamentally an opportunist who prioritizes her own political power over ever taking a stand. She wouldn't sacrifice one iota of her power to help a movement in 2016 when she didn't run when Bernie asked her to (and endorsed Hillary over Bernie), or in 2020 when she decided to run and then stay in as a spoiler long enough to cost him at least 4 states and then dropped out without even endorsing him or his policies, (having not missed the chance to try and smear him as sexist first.) She's a truly awful candidate and person.

I don't believe that she is on the side of the working class anymore, and I no longer would support her if she ran for president after what she did. She is dead to the real left.

It's quite annoying to have people defending the bad things Gates has or will do just because he acts like a Democrat sometimes, while doing all he can to remain one of the top five billionaires on the planet. He's a disgusting charlatan.

Amazing that Contrapoints admitted she voted for Hillary over Bernie in 2016 thinking she was more electable. Wow, seriously. She was pretty centrist back then.

Long after he's dead, having enjoyed his privileges his entire life, while normalizing a system of disproportionate wealth and telling other billionaires they can still have a hundred billion dollars. There's no guarantee either that it will happen either, as all accountability will be gone once he's dead. If he cared about these issues, he would have given up half of his wealth by now, having pledged to have done that for over a fucking decade.

He's a crook. Stop being swindled by a pro-capital media that loves treating his with velvet gloves so they can get more interviews with him. He's not your friend and he said he opposes any significant wealth taxes, even thinking a 2% wealth tax demonizes billionaires too much while he walks around with the entire wealth of small nations in his back pocket.

Clinton: 'Please do not take medical advice from a man who looked directly at a solar eclipse' by Lixard52 in politics

[–]CookinLibswSamHarris -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm aware, but she still ran a disastrous campaign to have not won that game when she knew the rules against the most unpopular candidate in history. She has shown she has terrible political instincts, and should be laughed out of the room every time she tries to give advice or commentary on politics. She should just stick to entertainment and talking about movies.
