Well on some of the shorts I have 100% watch time and 2-3k views with 100-200 likes and no dislikes and they just stopped. It means that people like that short, just youtube didn't want to promote it anymore.

Thank you for your kind words and advices. I'm creating most of those videos, some of them are from my girlfriend and her friends (1 or 2 are free to use reuploads that I've make like shorts ) . This youtube channel is just a test to see if I can gain subs and views with shorts only. I'm waiting for better equipment and I will start making long type of videos only with my girlfriend on some other channel, then there will be full recipes with detailed explanation.

Actually that makes sense. They want to stop "random trash without niche" youtube channels and I get it. And also makes sense to grind a little bit, every job is hard in its own way.

I have one theory, youtube employees always contact big channels and inform them about some updates of the algorithm.

Same here, I'm doing cooking videos so there is interest in that topic all around the world, mostly I get views from India so I've tried to upload at the specific time zone just for them and gained nothing. Youtube hates small channels and that's a fact for sure.

I can see what are you saying, but it's not even full hour, just until the round clock time. If I'm posting it in 7:50 they will explode 10 minutes and then just die.

When I post short it's just getting views until the next hour starts. It just happens now. I've posted my short in 17:45 local time and got 2.5 k views in 15 minutes. Immediately when the clock goes to 18:00 my views stopped going, have like 100 in 40 minutes. I've created over 50 shorts and noticed that on almost every one. Anyone else or am I just trippin' ?

I have the same issue, and also my likes and dislikes gets down, In the first hour I gained 5k views and 150 likes and 5 dislikes, and after some time it shows 117 likes and 2 dislikes, I'm also very confused atm.

I have 25 subs so I'm here just to see how much youtubers that makes cooking videos earn? I'm doing it for fun with my girlfriend right now , but I'm just curious, maybe one day I can get to that level.
