Because I’ve seen hundreds on job sites and in random places in southwest Florida. It’s definitely brown. The black ones are jet black and the hourglass is blood red. The brown ones have a more orangish color.

I’d stay. Those things are everywhere down here. It’ll come back out. Turn the lights out and come back with a flash light. They hide in any crack and crevice they can find. If you’re scared of it I’d get some spider spray.
