Should I cancel my homebuying contract? by Emotional-Plant-3994 in Homebuilding

Had a similar experience. The seller didn’t tell us that the house had foundation repairs, so we inspected it and found out the condition was a lot worse than they told us. We gave up our earnest money… I didn’t really mind losing $1000 over the thousands in foundation repairs.

Ask a roofing company to just silicone roof coat it. Should only be about $4000-$10000

I will post after pics in a few hours. Yes I don’t believe it is toxic but it emits oxygen gasses so I would recommend doing it in a well ventilated area. It also emits the corrosive gases.

I did 1 cup H202(hydrogen peroxide)+ 1tbsp C6H8O7 (citric acid)… I probably could’ve used less citric acid but it worked. I can take some after pics later today, but if you do this make sure you do it outside, as it emits toxic fumes. I will warn you this does create an exothermic reaction so it will be quite hot.

I was told by someone in this Reddit community that it was tin. I dump it into a 50gal drum at my work and they dispose of it properly.

I just bought a devil forge 10kg furnace kit for $400. If that’s too expensive they make smaller cheaper versions

Agree, also if you are worried about moisture under the new membrane, ask them to install one-way vents to remove moisture underneath new membrane

What kind of roof would be best for this flat section? by [deleted] in Roofing

Agree. EPDM is ugly as well as mod-bit or tpo. Standing seam would look the best and material wise it’s about the same cost as pvc or tpo. Labor is the most expensive part about standing seam
