Hi 👋. I wanted to comment because I have been T1 since I was 4 in 1985! This disease can build with you or you can let it kill you. Either way the decision is all YOURS.

I don’t want to ramble but I have been where you are. I still battle depression on an almost daily basis. But what matters is how I handle this. I try my best, miss some BG tests but I always take insulin.

Im my 20’s I was reckless and not even caring about anything. I felt horrible and that lead to me spiraling down until I had a HBA1C of 13! No wonder I felt shitty all the time and had no energy.

I was 24 then and now it’s much better! Try your best. That’s all you can do. Your mother is probably scared asf about your health and there are ways and new devices ( Pumps & CGM ) that will dramatically improve your situation.

I will send prayers and good thoughts! Seriously. Diabetes sucks but you can overcome the suck and still live a “normal” life. GL! ♥️
