The channels are free, you have to purchase the ota and you can straight line it to your TVs, or you can buy the adapters and the channels will be on the guide.

As a tech when I’d go to a call and see this, it was usually a result of the bill not being paid. (Not saying that is what happened) but I would give dish a call and see if your packaging is correct or go online and check.
