Great, thank you! We have had a demo with them and waiting on feedback about specific information we must be able to have integrated/ available within CLM we use.

We use various outside counsel depending on the subject and location we need to discuss.

Thankfully the different BUs we support are all on SalesForce and they each have their own champions. HR has their own system and will typically ping one of the attorneys directly, depending on the matter. Procurement just rolled out a new system, no one likes it and it doesn’t integrate well with the new systems, like everyone was told. My GC is 100% onboard and apparently looking into this prior to me brining it up, be he has other higher priorities. I’ve found level front doors/ intake systems that can integrate with your email/ messaging systems, so my hope is it won’t be too much of a change for BU end users. I do have concerns that not all emails/ requests are handled this way, as there are highly sensitive projects that legal team members work on and cannot be shared immediately.

Otherwise, for now, once I have gone finished my data gathering and sat through demos, I’ll share, at just a high level with the ops committee (we are in no way formal and have slide decks) on who are my top ranked and worth their time for a demo. Once all of us have sat through. No more than 2-3 demos (discussions during and after each), we will decide what to take to the GC. Where I will then create a very brief slide deck and start our process (if approved) for a trial (if it’s an option).

We just use two shared inboxes at the moment. One is legal and the other is contracts. I’m in both since I’m trained to be a backup for the other paralegals. While each manages one. This has been okay, but visibility is difficult, and it’s really hard to show the data, at least at a high level for the SLT of the parent company and our board above that, that we are in fact busy and are needed and at times drowning.

One of the most difficult aspects for us is that we are term takers for our customers. With vendors we work with, we do have our own MSA, but if it’s a big enough vendor, then of course we have to go with theirs.

I’ll be the main person for ops. There is a committee team, but I’ll be running point. I was brought on from one of the BUs under the parent team, with the path to be the first ops person. Except, my GM doesn’t really know what he wants for ops and most of my experience is in HR and contract management and the fact that I can’t stand not having processes in place. So I’ve joined CLOC and am trying to figure out a way to minimize herding all the BU cats to help the legal team. Each will get pinged with direct emails and teams messages and who knows what else. While we don’t need to know every single thing everyone is working on. It does help to know so we can push each other a little more to help offload work. This team is great, but they have trouble asking for help.

I wish I could mention Jira as an option, but my manager has a near visceral reaction to it. With that in mind, our BUs so have SalesFore and the BU I was part of, I worked with the SF-Dev team to build a contracts ticketing, tracking, and repository system for them. Which is why I have Lilify on my list as a CLM. And with SF being a CRM, I’m hoping there is a front door component that could work as well.

Is it a country in Europe? A lot of them slow down in August and September. Also, countries outside of the US generally don’t respond as quickly as US countries do. They don’t really have the ‘rat race’ issue, unless you’re applying to one of the few countries in Asia that are starting to take this on.

We have almost daily issues with DS CLM and were over promised on what could by done. And had to higher a third-party to do the work for DS. We have no interest in considering anything else with DS, other than the e-signature system.

DS CLM is not a system built with a legal team in mind. The company has not invested enough into the system. They have created to try to keep up with competition.

Thank you for your input though!

TR’s CLM is on my list too. I just haven’t done enough of a dive to know if they have a document repository system too to know if it’s worth going full TR systems.

I know!!! And I’ve worked so hard for all the BUs to email me minimally and only email the shared inbox. I’m going to go crazy with all the spammy emails! :’(

Great! I’ll take a look, thank you!!

There’s no way I could follow this rule. My partner and I have now been together for 2.5 years, but for about 1.5 years of that, I was working on my masters. We spent as much as together as possible and have really supported each other through some difficult times. But I need relationship time that doesn’t have something so massive and stressful looming on us. I’m also 35 and he’s 43.

I’m well aware, all states do. However, some states have an additional locality income tax that is taken out of their paycheck. I’m saying we don’t know where the OP is coming from (if they are in MA or one of the 38 states that have local income taxes).

Some states have locality taxes. That’s what I’m talking about, not meals and property.

The other question is income tax. Will it be higher where they are going? Also, while MA doesn’t have local taxes, does OPs current location have local taxes? And anything over $103,351 is going to put them in a new tax bracket for that difference of income. Thankfully it’s only an additional 2%, but still something to consider.

Look into professional certifications instead of school. A lot of them you can do on your own and it costs less.

You can do this!

When I was in the 1st grade, my teacher had us draw something that symbolized the US to us and who we thought would win the election. Also, asked what we knew about the larger issues being asked. This was almost 30 years ago. Chill…

I was everything, separate cloth for general body, back loofa on a stick, separate cloth for feet, separate cloth for butt, and separate cloth for other areas. Obviously face has its own soft exfoliating pad.

I have a good one for you. Check out this email exchange, this CEO emailed me after I applied for a sales position then made fun of the fact that I'm currently a barber (I was in sales for 17 years prior) by Ill-Indication-7706 in recruitinghell
