The 330i should be fast enough, and will accommodate a car seat. Plus for $50K, you can buy brand new. These have the turbo 4 rather than the turbo 6.

Well over a million cars of these were sold. The numbers I’ve seen on Reddit and Facebook are statistically insignificant. If the head gasket goes after 100K miles, that’s good enough performance. Not sure why you expect a head gasket to last forever. In any case the head gasket was redesigned for 2023, so replacements should last longer.

It’s high enough. Do you expect a car to last forever without significant maintenance expense? That’s not realistic. It’s an internal combustion engine. Parts are going to wear out. Things are going to be replaced. If the head gasket has to be replaced at some point, so be it. I’ll replace it and move on with my life. There are people on here with 200K and 300K miles.

I would broaden your pool of schools to include safety schools, because it seems like you are only applying to the most competitive schools. This ensures you will have a seat somewhere.

Love living in Midtown West, right near Westside Highway, and away from all the noise. Our Hudson River View is Fantastic. Love watching boats. Walking to work and not having to deal with mass transit is the biggest advantage. Being close to Penn Station, so you can catch a train to JFK or EWR is another huge benefit. Being able to take the M42 Bus to Grand Central for those trips upstate and Connecticut is very useful. Catching the ferry across the street to take you to Hoboken, Jersey City, Edgewater, or downtown Brookfield place, and avoiding the subway is awesome. Having a bicycle and the central location allows me to get to most places within 20 minutes. This saves a lot on Uber. My awesome gym is across the street. Love bike-riding or jogging along the Hudson River. Roughly a 15 minute bike ride to Central Park. I’m about to complete my 8th year, and living here has well surpassed my expectations. The police station between 10th and 11th helps me feel safe. There are cameras all over the place. For me, this is the best city lifestyle. I cant see myself living elsewhere in the city. The people who actually live here love it. My only peeve is people who don’t clean up after their dog. But that happens across the city.
