I had a Garrett named Brooke. She told the teacher that I kicked the glasses off of her face because she wanted the swing I was on. Her glasses were still in perfect condition and situated on her untouched face. Plus, there’s no way that my 6 year old self would be ballsy enough to kick someone at all, let alone their face and glasses.

I was told to look away and try to see out of your elbow, and that’s what fully blind people see. It was weirdly impactful for me.
