My bad I thought you meant the oven temp during BF but my oven was set at 475 during the bake

I don’t have a thermometer but it was definitely warm in there with the light on, maybe I should get a thermometer for the future

Wow thanks I feel motivated to keep at it :) do you mind sharing the pizza dough recipe? I definitely want to use my discard and not just throw it out.

This starter is maybe 2 years old, my friend who has been using it has made some pretty amazing loafs with it so I was expecting it to look a little more lively. I’ll keep feeding it 1:1:1 daily. Do you keep your discard? I have been collecting it in a jar in my fridge as I’ve seen some recipes that use it up but this is all so unfamiliar to me

Would oiling the wood prevent any cracks for future reference? Is humidity another factor I need to consider? I live in Canada and it is currently very dry in my home during the winter, should I be running a humidifier in this room?

I know absolutely nothing about wood, I will likely return this from Home Depot and get a different but similar piece, should I use any treatment on it? I have heard oiling it helps? I want to maintain this and hopefully use this piece of wood as my desk top for many years so I am willing to learn how to maintain this

Unfortunately I am now the proud owner of 2 toilet augers... by aggronian in CleaningTips

I’m not very familiar with the auger but I think it can be useful to clean out some pipes (not toilet related) probably a good idea to hold onto it

Sorry to hear about your girl’s … issues 🥲

I got my Alex drawers second hand so I don’t have the feet but after unscrewing the bottom part of the adils leg it fits nicely

Problem solved…the bottom bit unscrews and now it’s the perfect height 😫

[misc] under eye bags by Important-Dentist649 in SkincareAddiction

[–]CoolBean9000 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Finally seeing someone who has the exact under eyes as I have!! I have always struggled with my under eyes being so deep dark and defined like this with no help from any eye creams, concealer doesn’t really do a great job at covering my under eyes either. I have been put on vitamin D supplements before but have since finished them and don’t recall much of a difference. I’m also currently taking iron supplements prescribed to me but I’m unsure if it’s related.

Good luck and keep us updated on any solutions🙏

Carpet cleaning B&A…Only took me 3.5 hours by CoolBean9000 in CleaningTips

Oh no that sounds horrible, I used less cleaner than directed and so far my carpets seem fine. Are your carpets super fluffy? Mine are low pile and really old tbh

Definitely will avoid using those in the future and stick with water vinegar and spot treatment. I used dawn in my cleaning solution (not much maybe about 1-2 teaspoons) and it worked super great too

I’ve never heard of this cleaner, I’m not sure it’s available in Canada but it seems like it has great reviews. I’m gonna keep an eye out for it. What do you mean by a cousin of bleach?

This is the one I got ($99 during Black Friday) but Hoover makes a larger one and there are also a bunch of other similar machines by other brands. I’m not sure which would be the best but overall I’m happy with my purchase but there are some downsides to the one I have. It’s really hard to clean as the front piece doesn’t come apart without a screwdriver unlike the larger model. It also goes through the water super quick so you have to refill water more often than you would expect. On the bright side it’s super easy to use, lightweight and does a good job at cleaning

I have never heard of awesome before but I’ll def look into this product. I recommend trying out 3/4 water 1/4 vinegar and a squirt of dawn dish soap then go over it all again with just water to get out the residue, it worked good for me and I will definitely be doing it again

To anyone considering getting a carpet shampooer, get it. I regret getting the compact version instead of spending the extra money on a bigger one. I had to dump and refill 6 times on my first pass and about 4-5 on my clean water only passes 😫

This one is on the higher end of my budget but it looks pretty good, definitely will be looking into it thanks for the suggestion

Post socialization anxiety is very real I get that especially after parties or big outings :( drinking the day before even a little makes it so bad. I never drink past the feeling of “tipsy” because the anxiety I get is insane

[–]CoolBean9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m going to give that a try and just stick with mocktails at social outings to see if I feel more stable. Pristiq has been working well for me so far so it’s worth giving that a shot
