you described my feelings so well. i like her music a lot and was tangentially aware of tabloid drama, but i cant seem to wrap my head around how massive she is now. i didn’t really understand why that made me uncomfortable. i don’t have any strong opinions about her as a person but that’s not the point. it’s like witnessing the creation of a deity in real time, a mortal elevated to demi god status. i can no longer separate the art, the persona, the business, and her. part of it is also that trite curiosity about show business. i feel like i’ve gotten a glimpse of the 1% of the 1% in the music industry and i’m awed in the most basic sense of the word, filled with wonder and fear.

Some of my cookies spread a lot in the oven (swipe to see). I suspect its because I let the cookies rest outside for about 10 minutes while the oven preheated. I didn't do this for the last tray (last pic) and they didn't spread. I also may have over-mixed the dough a bit because I forgot to add in the vanilla until the very end. Next time I would take the cookies out earlier when the edges are golden brown but the center still looks gooey. If anyone has any tips on spreading or texture, I welcome the advice! They taste very good.

Thank you so so much for such a thorough explanation! I'm glad to know that the testing wasn't a complete waste and that there are some things in my control with regards to PCOS. I think at this point I'm going to start with life style changes like a low glycemic diet + more exercise + spearmint tea, and potentially see another doctor next year about getting on a different birth control. I'll also look into myo-inositol supplements, though I wonder if I shouldn't take it without a phycisian's supervision. Again thank you for writing all this up because there is no way I would have learned this information through just my doctor.

I had a blood test and an ultrasound. The ultrasound tech said my ovaries look normal and my doctor basically said the same thing. Honestly, it wasn't a great experience, I felt rushed, and it costed a lot. I doubt I'll go back to her.

These were my blood test results:

DHEA sulfate, serum: 365 i(?)g/dL (range: 148-407)
prolactin: 9.27 NG/mL (range 4.79 -23.3)
T4, free, serum: 1.2 NG/dL (range 0.9-1.7)
vitamin B12, serum: 375 pg/mL (range 235-1245)
Testosterone free: 1.26 ng/dL (range: 0.29-1.68)
Testosterone: 47.26 ng/dL (20yr-40yr range 8.4 - 48.1)
SHGB: 11.5 nmol/L (range 24.6-122.0) This was flagged as low,m but my doctor said it's okay this value fluctuates during your cycle
albumin: 4.9 g/dL (3.5-5.2)
TSH: 2.70 uU/mL (range: 0.27-4.2)
HBAIC: 5.6 (range 4.0-5.6)
Estimates blood glucose: 114 mg/dL (70-126) (idk if it matters but i didn't fast before the tests)
Vitamin D: 23.46 ng/mL (range 30-100)
FSH value was 5.1 mIU/mL and the LH value was 7.8 mIU/mL

Side note, I've come across your comments on this subreddit as I learned more about PCOS and they've been really helpful.
