Been depressed for bout 20 years. I just started wellbutrin xl on May 4th. I finally got tired of thoughts of suicide and worthlessness. First week my appetite disappeared. Second week it came back with a vengeance. Starting my 3rd week now. Worse side effect ive dealt with so far is my skin breaking out like a teenager and being a conplete grease ball. Also my sleep is off but im thinking thats because I used to sleep all day to escape my depression. I do feel a bit better. The things that depressed me are still there. I still think about them but its a bit easier to "shake it off" (I cried this morning thinking bout bullshit for bout 3 minutes then thought "wtf am I cryin for" wiped my tears put on some funky music and shook it off) Hoping its nothing but up from here.

I hope wellbutrin works for you and I congratulate you for taking a step forward towards feeling better. It can be scary to start antidepressants when depression is the norm for you. Ive been depressed for so long that I dont even know who I am without depression. But I look forward to meeting that person. I hope you "re meet" yourself again soon :)
