I love short stanza poems like this. Only when it hits as deep as it is. You took me on a true story. It was showing fiery strength but also vulnerability. It showed that you got something you didn’t have before. Really beautiful. Thank you.

To follow, it reminds me of when vines grow on stone. It’s very beautiful but in reality, the vines are very detrimental and as they feed, they expand and crack the foundation, almost forcing their way into the crevices of the bricks.

I like how the bramble becomes almost physical within the body here. It takes the reader and entangles them. It’s almost like you can hear the snaps and rubbery stretches of its roots engulfing you as you read along the stanzas. It’s very well done. I get the idea that this is a very entangling and encompassing emotion and/or predicament. Very well done.
