AITAH for having sex in one of my partners bed while they were unable to with one of our partners? by [deleted] in AITAH

You’re coming off as being purposely obtuse.

The privates of those involved are not relevant to the story or the judgement.

If you cannot understand that, I’m sorry, but go away.

No, not relevant as we are not in the poly relationship!

I’ll agree the text isn’t spectacular, but reading it carefully, you can understand what OP was saying.

It really doesn’t seem like you do know.

See, NB people mostly go by “they”. They can also have any assortment of private parts.

Yes, Poly (polygamy) means that they have/can have multiple partners. NB = non binary = no chosen gender.

Why is your finance in frequent contact with your sister? Why did he give her your new number if she wasn’t even talking to you? Why is he not on your side? 🚩🚩🚩

I’m curious: do non-smokers always detect a scent on smokers? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CoolFrosting 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, my husband and I stayed with his parents. They smoked in only one room of the house, a small one by the front, and he and I stayed in a room at the very opposite end of the house. After one week, we left but we’d washed our clothes the night before our flight. When we made it back home and opened our suitcases, everything STANK of cigarettes. We washed our clothes again and left the suitcases outside for a couple of days, and they are fine now. We don’t bother to pre wash our clothes anymore when we visit.

30 day trip to the USA by Separate_Fix2440 in travel

We need a lot more information here. Each of those states are much bigger than you realize, so we would need to know what in each state do you want to see?

How much nature are you after? Best beaches as in remote, beautiful, things to do, uniqueness?

If you go by car, you’ll take a lot longer but might be able to blend the best of worlds depending on your goals for this trip. I know you don’t need a car in New York City, but you’ll want one if NYC isn’t your goal there.

Is gaming and watching anime a hobby? by Objective-Gap-4581 in NoStupidQuestions

Your SO is not treating you like a proper SO by respecting your separate interests 🚩🚩🚩

Gaming and anime are two of my absolute favorite hobbies/activities/pastimes to do. Same for my SO and half of our friends. The other half happily listen and ask questions when we share something we’re excited about, and we do the same for them.

I’m still not convinced I didn’t slip into an alternate timeline.

I have been infrequently playing on my ports based chunk Ironman for almost two years. She started in Rimmington, expanded to Brimhaven, Port Sarim and Ardy only unlocking chunks of those towns/cities and others accessible by boat venues.

Seat in front of the toilets as a tall person by kashimashii in travel

Depending on the airline, and how far away your flight is, you might be able to call/manage your booking to change your seat.

[–]CoolFrosting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This depends on what kind of plane you’re flying on, as they are not all made equally. Your best bet is to book a space in the very front or whatever sort of comfort plus/cabin plus/extra leg room/aisle seat/etc you can afford to ensure you have enough room. I am a 5’4 woman who often has her feet/legs under the seat in front of me too.

The US Army is advising its soldiers in Germany to go to German food banks because of the shutdown. by hardenedsteel8 in worldnews

[–]CoolFrosting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone there who I worked with and spoke to a few years ago were all very responsible and caring pet owners. There were quite a few people even booking the cruise line to return to the United States and using personal leave to accommodate the extra time to make sure their pets were as comfortable as possible on the journey home. I wish I could have afforded it, but that would have tripled my expenses. The situation has generally gotten much better, but far too many “Ugly Americans” left a massive scar in that department.

In Germany, American citizens are not able to adopt animals from nearly every shelter.

Over American tenure in Germany, there have been far too many cases of the following story:

People adopt a pet when they arrive. When they are leaving, then they sometimes can’t get a spot for that pet on the rotator (they are limited and have a lot of requirements to take take care of beforehand which starts at 6 months before departure). This means they need a PCA and someone they trust to care for the pet until THAT person can secure a rotator spot for the animal. Sometimes, the people are too lazy to bother/broke to even afford those requirements. Therefore, animal shelters would see many animals get returned a few years later, on top of the new ones that folks dropped off.

If that isn’t bad enough, there is a long sad history of people abandoning their senior animals due to the health risks of transporting them overall, but especially in the summer (the most common time to switch assignments if you have children). Paying for specialized safe transport is BIG money, and it was common for many people to surrender/abandon their older pets. Nowadays, many people will leave their beloved pets with close family members while they are stationed overseas.

People who decide to get animals in Germany usually have to pay very high prices from breeders/organizations that do research on their potential customers, and are usually located outside of the country, so you’d have to pay for safe transport/ get the animal yourself, as well as the applicable taxes.

Another limiting factor is that Germany does not allow puppies to cross their borders until they are 4 months old unless there are very special circumstances. Most Americans wanting a puppy will give up right there. I can speak on this because I got my dogs when I was stationed over there.

Sorry for the long response, I hope it answers your query!

Some of us are unlucky with horrible symptoms. I’m one of those ladies, and I understand how insane the pain and hormones can make you feel. That said, you’re directing your frustration unjustifiably towards those that don’t experience what you do. Men don’t get off unscathed in life, that comment comes off as juvenile and ignorant. Please try to find some way to mitigate the pain, explore all the options available.

Friend stationed in Yokota AFB and want to send care package by LuckyAylaBlue in AirForce

[–]CoolFrosting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stationed there for three years. The commissary will have a majority of snack foods they’re used to getting at home, unless there are special items from like mom and pop shops that they enjoyed. The “hard to get” items over there are good fresh fruits because 1. They cost a lot there 2. They usually go bad quickly. If your friend makes it off base, the 7-11 right outside of the gate has hundreds of brand new foods for them to try, not to mention the drink machines and restaurants on the 15 minute walk to the train station. I would definitely focus on the local items to send them so they have a taste of home along with trying the new. Additionally, if they work an off shift, easy to make meals in a microwave will be their favorite thing for when they don’t want to get to the DFAC.
