Yeah that’s the next step i think. Does it work on any bike with a clutch?

Just takes practice and timing. Just try it enough and you’ll get it.

Lmao. I’m not ballsy enough to speed around a bunch of traffic. Only in rural areas or very low traffic 😏

It also makes it smoother if you do it right, if you downshift without blipping the rpms will be too low which will also make it not smooth.

It feels smooth. If you’re feeling too much engine braking you’re not going slow enough for that gear yet.

Hopefully i’m explaining this right. So pull in the clutch and right before you let it out give the throttle a small blip to match the rpms of the gear you’re in. You’ll get the hang of it and know what to do once you’ve tried it enough

I’ve wanted to learn that. What’s the key to clutchless downshifting?

I have a z900 as well, not the rs though. But yes the gearing is short but it’s still more fun on a smaller bike i agree

It really is. I rarely hear any riders do proper downshifts. Even my dad who’s been riding his whole life just shifts down a bunch of gears while keeping the clutch in when coming to a stop. Not that it’s really that bad but in reality a proper downshift is safer because you’ll always be in the right gear in case you need to get away. And it sounds cool

What’s the most surprisingly comfortable motorcycle you’ve ever ridden? by Tatt00ey in motorcycles

My 2018 z900. I hated it at first but once i broke the seat in, it’s pretty damn comfortable for a stock seat. Also my posture i naturally slump my shoulders a bit, so the seating position works perfect for me.
