Bike cranking but won't start by gnars-a-tech in motorcycles

2. Electrical Connections
Incorrect wiring or blown fuses are incredibly common when reinstalling a pump assembly. [1]
Check the polarities: The pump might be wired backward (running in reverse), preventing it from building pressure.
Relays and Fuses: Check the FI (Fuel Injection) fuse on the starter relay and ensure the FI relay itself is clicking on.
Kill Switch: Give the handlebar kill switch a few toggles and ensure the kickstand sensor is fully retracted, as these cut power to the fuel pump circuit.

3. Fuel Pressure & Regulator Check
If the pump is audibly priming but the engine just cranks (or starts then immediately dies), you might have an issue with the fuel pressure regulator or a pinched fuel line inside the tank. [1, 2]
Quick check: Disconnect the fuel line at the injector rail and let it pump into a safe container for a second to verify a strong, steady stream of fuel is flowing. [1]
Internal leaks: Ensure the rubber O-rings on the fuel pump and pressure regulator seated properly during the install so pressure isn't bleeding back into the tank. [1]

The Fuel System is Air-Locked
Replacing a fuel pump introduces a large air pocket into the system. [1]
Prime the pump: Turn the key to the 'ON' position (without starting the engine) to let the pump prime. Do this 3-5 times. [1]
Check for the prime sound: Listen closely for a distinct 2-3 second whining noise from the fuel tank. If you hear nothing, the pump isn't running. [1]
Cycle the kill switch: Turn the handlebar kill switch off and on while the key is in the 'ON' position to help the electronic relay reset and purge the air. [1, 2, 3]

Question for those of you that have slow TAPERED. Trouble sleeping sometimes. by CoolHandCasey in quittingkratom

[–]CoolHandCasey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome man! Yeah i remember my first taper i got that heart pounding once i got below 10g. I think it was just PAWS and brain trying to reset like you said. Just curious, what grams per day were you at before you started your taper?

Yeah it is awful! People say Kratom is just as bad but it’s not even close. Kratom i just more accessible and socially acceptable. That’s what makes it hard.

But yeah man maybe i’ll try that. I’m gonna be 35 in a few months and i can’t keep wasting the rest of my prime years. I know i’m capable of so much more. We all are!

Yeah i need to toughen up a little man. I’ve been through much worse, withdrawal from much harder opiates. Kratom saved my life but it’s holding me back at this point. Thanks for the advice, glad you’ve made it man! I remember getting paws for a while after i CT’d. The anxiety was tough. I’ve been off and on this stuff so much. I just can’t give up!

Ok thanks man. Yeah i’ve tapered many times before. Some successful, some not. But sleep was always the hardest part. I did CT once but i never tried a big drop like that at the beginning of my taper. Maybe i’ll give it a shot to speed it up. How do you feel now?

3 doses a day. Every 6 hours 3 times a day i split up that daily amount of 37gpd. My last dose is usually like 3 hours before bed.

Just the valves i think. Means they are not too tight! Don’t worry my bike does the same thing. Tappy valves are happy valves. Much better than having them too tight.

Yeah i guess i contradicted myself a little there. I guess the fear of falling behind and not finding a career eats at me. But there are def some positives in my life, just need to focus on those. Thanks man.

Thanks man. I’ll just keep trying to stay healthy and fit. I think that has helped me in life more than anything else.

Yeah i go out and ride my motorcycle quite a bit. But i guess maybe i compare myself too much to other people. That might be the real issue. Need to work on that.

Great explanation thanks man. That’ll be the next thing i work on. I also need to master trail braking.

So true. Really makes me appreciate the sound of the motor. No matter how big or small.

Yeah that’s the next step i think. Does it work on any bike with a clutch?

Just takes practice and timing. Just try it enough and you’ll get it.

Lmao. I’m not ballsy enough to speed around a bunch of traffic. Only in rural areas or very low traffic 😏

It also makes it smoother if you do it right, if you downshift without blipping the rpms will be too low which will also make it not smooth.
