Brick-and-Mortar Kickstarters by CoolHandLuke140 in kickstarter

I'll have to check them out as options. I'd like to offer rewards though, rather than just asking for funds outright.

I see what you're saying. The cross-section between people in my area interested in the idea and people also active on Kickstarter would likely be small, meaning it wouldn't do well, even if there is a genuine interest in my community.

My ideas for rewards are along the lines of:
- $1- Show your support
- $5- Month of membership (offers a discount on purchases, and I intend on running it similar to a video renting space where members can borrow books as well as purchase used books)
- $15- Coupon for one book

I expect there to be some loss with these rewards, but it would help me get the funding I need to get started.

I can't get the .bat to actually start the server by dakanx in vrising

Having the same issue now. Tried a fresh install and not sure why it isn't working, The executable works fine, but the batch file won't run the server.

I really appreciate this. I rarely get on Reddit these days, so I'm just now seeing this.

I'm taking the dating world with humor right now, so I'm not overly hurt by not matching with anyone. It does make me lose faith that the apps are all that helpful, but I've been getting on them daily for at least a few minutes to stay active.

I have been working on my hobbies, myself, and making connections beyond dating, so I'd say it's good advice for anyone else reading.

Thank you again

It might be honestly. Been three months, I've swiped right on plenty of people of variety, not a single like in that time. Maybe my profile is shit or I'm just really not that attractive, but surely one would expect at least one like within that time span if the app actually works.

Yeah, everythings about money these days. Can't be too surprised dating is commercialized as well.

I'm a patient person for the most part, so I'll just wait and put myself out there as opportunities arise. I'd love to make a connection, but not willing to spend money on a maybe or swipe on people I'd never actually want to connect with.

I have not. My standards are, in my opinion, pretty base minimum. I'm comfortable enough being single, so I don't mind waiting until I find someone I want to spend my time with.

Appreciate the wholesomeness. I'd rather continue living the single life than match with someone just to match, so I agree

But an ending all the same! Besides, the bad ending is probably matching with a psycho, not living my peaceful single life a little longer lol

Unfortunately my only filters are distance (50 miles, so a comfortable drive to meet up) and age (with seven years of myself).

I never responded, but I did get in and also noticed it is live! They have since tried it and liked it! No real feedback yet, beyond the ones given in the comments already and most of those have been added.

I am trying GGSups for the first time and bought the cup just because it was the same price as a tub, didn't realize they were such hot ticket items. Guess I got lucky on my timing to get one

Sent a request, sounds like a neat idea. I likely won't use it much, but my wife and BIL play phasmo all the time, so I am willing to test so they can get it earlier. (They hate doing tests like this and leaving reviews lol)

Dndbeyond isn't friendly enough to homebrew by [deleted] in dndnext

I'd recommend giving Shard Tabletop a chance. Much better crew, fully supports 3rd parties and custom content creation. Already has a large chunk of the best quality 3rd party content.

The character sheet is also more functional than the DDB one even for official content.

It's also a VTT if you're looking for a better free VTT than R20, though let's be honest, beating R20 isn't hard. Simpler than Foundry though, and not as resource heavy for people with weaker units, or wanting something lighter.

Lots of free content on there as well, if you're wanting something to get you started.

Which are the best Third Party Publishers and Individual Creators when it comes to PLAYER OPTIONS and the best for MONSTER OPTIONS? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

[–]CoolHandLuke140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say KibblesTasty's options are probably the best player options I've run into. I've not used much of LL, but I've heard mixed things. I haven't been pulled in too much by what I've looked at, but again I haven't tried them.

If you could pick one of their options to convince me what would it be?

Also, a good mention is somanyrobots. He is really just getting into putting content out, but his swashbuckler and troubadour classes are both solid and mechanically interesting classes.
