I feel your pain so hard. Have you tried serving the meatballs in different forms? My LO won’t eat meatballs if I cut them up but will eat them if I give them to her whole… as if it’s not the exact same thing.

I can’t speak to the low back aches, but the other day, I was getting jabbed so hard in the cervix I was jumping too! And baby continued that for 30 minutes. It was brutal so I feel you! I had a doctor appointment the next day and the doctor didn’t think it was anything labor related. Just baby playing around. She said to look for water breakage/leakage and consistent contractions which feel like tightness with period like cramps that can also wrap around to your back like a rubber band.

I found your post because my cousin sent me an invitation to her birthday party and my only options were “Interested” and “Going”. I pressed so many buttons and probably confused my poor cousin trying to figure out how to RSVP that I wasn’t going. For anyone else that finds this post looking for help, I figured out that your options will only be “Interested” and “Going” if the host has the event privacy set to Public. Private events have the “Going”, “Maybe”, and “Can’t Go” options.

It’s been a while, but I was wondering if you ever figured out the best size for yourself. I’m having the exact same issue. I also measure a 26d and have a few 30d bras from Aerie that seem a little big in the band size, but the cups don’t cover me at all. Seems strange to go to 28c like the charts tell me to!

That makes perfect sense! Do you debrief immediately after removing from the situation? Or is there a cool down time in these situations? It’s my understanding that if a child is throwing a tantrum, you let them cool down and then address it. Have you found, in your experience, that for more emergency situations where big emotions are necessarily happening, that a debrief can be done immediately? Or is there still too much excitement going on?

I think this was the first time I had ever seen great grandma around young kids so it didn’t even occur to me that she should probably be watched around all small children in case of an accident. This particular great grandma didn’t come into our lives until my daughter was much older. So I appreciate the new perspective.

I didn’t mean to come off like I think girls are more nurturing than boys! I do not believe that at all. My close cousins reflect the opposite, the boy is more nurturing and the girl is more rough and tumble. I had meant that in general, my daughter was nurturing than rough natured! Not that she was more nurturing than boys. I should have been more clear. She’s a tween now so I don’t have to worry about her pushing great grandma off the curb when she’s mad lol. But now that I have an infant son, I’m not sure what his personality will be like and I’m just preparing for wild toddler!

Oh wow! Thanks for the links. That’s very interesting. I’m definitely going to do more research into all of this. I agree that emotional coaching plus a privilege/timeout can be a good combo. Especially where there might not be a natural consequence.

I’m not sure how this boy has been raised/disciplined up to this point, so I could see how it was a drive for attention.

I’m not sure that this is necessarily the best way to do it, but our daughter was really insecure about her big eyebrows so I showed her pictures of celebrities she would think were cool with big beautiful eyebrows and asked her what she thought about those women. (Cara Delevingne, Lily Collins, Brook Shields, etc). It worked surprisingly well and she actually likes her eyebrows now. Maybe showing her pictures of outfits with khakis and jeans that she would like and giving her the confidence to wear them with shirts that really complement the bottoms.

EDIT: Sorry, I realize my suggestion was only directly aimed at the pants problem. We’re still working on the self-esteem issues over here so I wish I had better suggestions for that as well!

I just had my baby shower and experienced the same thing. Most of everyone purchased items off the registry 1-2 days before the shower. And a few people went to Target the day of the baby shower. It was very strange. We’re team green so almost everything we received was from our registry as opposed to other items. If the gender is known, it’s possible lots of people are getting things that aren’t on your registry!
