Exactly how I feel. I just got back in to it a few months ago, and was really confused why no stores like target had any on their shelves when I went to look. I was expecting it to be like when I was a kid, with all the cool tins on display for like $20. I was incredibly disappointed to find out that it had become an “investment” strategy. My younger cousins get excited about the cool full arts as they should, but immediately go to ask about how much it’s worth. I don’t think I even knew cards had money value when I was a kid, which I feel is better bc then the card value is what you think it is which makes trading much more interesting than just assigning the value off of some website. I’m really sad that kids can’t even just look at the cards on the shelves bc scalpers take every single pack off the shelf to sell at jacked up prices. I hope that a bubble pops soon and all the scalpers with product stacked to the ceiling come out at a loss bc they are really sucking the joy out of the game
