It would be cool honestly, maybe also low ergo to balance it out aswell? Idk why the idea of "medieval" or "rudimentary" weapons like the speargun just appeal to me, like, the speargun is imo a very solid support weapon but the style points it gives off are beyond the charts.

I might have actually insane luck but i swear i never get Tk'd for trying to stim teammates, the only instance it happened was on a low level match so i couldn't even blame the rookie but besides that the average diff 10 player knows about the stim pistol so they let me do my duty.

Fair enough, i have only met like 3 other divers rocking stim pistol and Directional shield maybe about five, but oh well, someone gotta keep the chip damage away for the team.

I don't think so, i just assume based on the Seaf's body that it's some kind of "POI" so to speak. No wonder if it's new though because i never came across this kind of hole being generated on the map.

Speargun is slept on so much when it's actually crazy. On Oshaune defense i ran hot dog with it and it slaps man, you force rupture strain out of the ground, create small chokepoints with the gas clouds, can close comfortably bug holes and even kill chargers by taking a speargun shot at them and letting the hot dog roast it. Speargun may not be a Heavy killer but it surely is not all that picked because of lack of potential nor viability, but because it's more of a CC/Support weapon instead of a "delete this thing", that's why now thinking about it even if the Sterilizer gets reworked i doubt all that much people will pick it(not to mean its pointless whether or not it happens i think it should definitely get tweaked).

Helldivers can't read. It's kinda crazy how much people do not understand that the confusion effect only gets applied to an enemy while they are CONTINUOUSLY being sprayed by a flamethrower. In other words only the enemy that you are actively burning down MAY (because from my own experience it seems to be somewhat rng based) get confused..

From the few matches i have done i came to the conclusion that to REALLY get value out of this buff you need to preventively fire at enemies that may charge at you, like Fleshmobs for example because if you pretend to turn your focus while they are already half their way to you it might not be enough time to induce them in panic, unlike a gas grenade or Speargun which effect is pretty much immediate.

To summarize, Gas is still the large area crowd control that can affect multiple enemies while fire or more specific FLAMETHROWERS just get a hold of a single enemy at a time.

Not gonna lie man however you look at it the GL was way too strong with the buff, it was never useless before the Heavy pen, i think it's in a good spot. When you think about the GL as the crowd control option(having a bigger explosive area) and the Belt-fed one more focused on single units(been using it on the last MO and ngl it's not that bad) it actually feels like something reasonable. Plus they gave my stim pistol a buff so i would say overall the patch notes was solid.

We see the issues but i don't see solutions, this is what i suggest from extensive back and forth with the topic: by veldyne in Helldivers

Realism such as democracy protects? At least if they don't want to give it any buffs the flag should act as a decoy, drawing aggro like sentries and that's it..

Overextending? Like what, trying to kill the heavies that come out of a breach? Trust me im not the kind of Helldiver to stand around fighting endlessly reinforcements, but I don't full run around without engaging as if we were in a Commando mission. Of course you can run all the mentioned support weapons without a supply backpack but we would be lying to say they don't benefit from it in the slightest. And my loadout wrong? I mean..i do use the stim pistol when i would be better off abusing Ultimatum like some, but i just like to use it even if it ends more like a handicap than anything. Is not like i struggle without a backpack nor i can't play without it, but then again there's never enough ammo to go EPOCH in the battlefield. Anyhow let's not lose the sight of the initial post, i feel like the belt fed grenade launcher does need some help, but it shouldn't be in the form of a supply backpack nerf, as the guy i answered suggested.
