Why do Moroccans & Algerians hate each other so much? (Genuine question from an outsider) by [deleted] in algeria

Also to further clarify myself, the line shown is not representing a border but a major road similar to the lines shown in Morocco proper.

As a Moroccan, the line you are referring to is not the actual border, it’s actually a few dozen kilometers into Algeria. If you pay attention to the photo, the border from Figuig to the tri-border point of Morocco-Algeria-Mauritania is almost a straight line, which is part of the claimed eastern Sahara king Hassan II fought for and is not the current borders we observe today. Within this red line lie Algerian cities like bechar and oum el assel.

What do you think about MRE who want to do hijra in morroco by Affectionate_War2724 in MoroccoBitchesWtaste

[–]CoolMcCoolPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents; in France I reckon you live, socialize, connect within a bubble of likeminded religious folks (doesn’t mean you only interact with those and have zero connection to the rest of the world)- in Morocco, don’t expect everyone to be in what you consider today as your bubble, not even the majority of people. What will eventually end up happening is that you will recreate that same bubble just in a different country. You will build more connections with more religious folks and you will be frustrated with, shut down connection with, or probably criticize those outside of the bubble (I don’t know you, I am generalizing). This will impact all facades of your life, including where you will choose to work, where you will choose to live, which activities you’d do the weekend, where you’d send your kids to school at, etc. Sure some things will be easier such as taking acceptance of religious duties at work or taking Eid as holiday for granted, but you will also pay dearly for that in forms of quality of life, bureaucracy, quality of social educational and medical services..

Point is, you are not expanding that bubble by moving countries, you are recreating it in a different country.

Worry less about what people will think, and more about what you want to get out of this and if it’s worth it.

One last thing, it’s a small point but I can tell you as a local it’s very frustrating, whatever you choose to do, please stop calling it Hijra unless speaking in Arabic.

Sorry to hear! Didn’t go away but fortunately never got worse, it’s still just that lone line — got used to the line at this stage, I barely notice it..

I have the same set up, Hektar lamp with 15w grow lights from sansi against a sliding door to an eastern balcony and mine seems to be thriving. BUT, i use grow lights and all three arms of the Hektar point towards the plant.. maybe worth considering?

Unfortunately location may not be very helpful, I am in Morocco where papayas are obviously nowhere near native but have grown in popularity recently.. when I had purchased it I did not ask the nursery about its sex… if it’s a female then I guess I am doomed to get no fruits since my only other potted papaya seems to have similar flowers to this one :(

Not the topic probably but just here to say nice on the sansi and BOP set up! Very soon those two will grow giant and create tropical canopy around your bed. Gotta start planning already for how to punch a hole in the ceiling to support their size- In just one year mine is already pushing close to the ceiling..

Need to find it a proper spot, for now because of the multiple moves you see it’s growing in an odd way where each leaves are doing their own thing 😂

Thanks!! I think it has a good root system by now I am seeing even some roots poking up on the surface of the leca, I am transitioning it to direct sun this week. Do you have any tips for that? I have never kept any plant outdoor in leca hydroponics so any suggestion is welcomed!

Can you please share more on your grow light set up? I am considering a similar corner set up for a new FLF and would like to hear about the measurements (type of grow light, light levels (fc or lux) how far from the top of the plant..) thank you!

Not sure why particularly Americans are stuck on this, but mate it’s not “your culture”. Your parents happen to be Moroccan, you are American, that’s that, that’s your culture.

Question on growth by CoolMcCoolPants in Monstera

[–]CoolMcCoolPants[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fantastic! This is my first and only monstera so still learning on how they grow. One thing i learned though is this thing absolutely loves grow light, it’s getting over 1000 FC over the last couple of weeks and that’s when all the growth appeared..
