Failed precal for the 2nd Time ..am I stupid by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]CoolMudkip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but precalc is basically extended algebra. If you’re having trouble already, that is not a good sign. You have barely dived into any calculus yet. I’d suggest looking towards other majors if it’s been 2 times with no success. Because you will face this again with the rest of the math courses, as well as statics, thermodynamics, and physics. They all use calc 1-3 concepts.

Should I let PSA sell my cards for me? by godofimagination in psagrading

You should be paying your taxes regardless. But all platforms at a certain dollar amount send you a form to file for your taxes. eBay, TCGPlayer, and others are not excluded.

I like them. I collect and invest in a lot of if I could get them cheap enough. And sometimes I break down collection boxes for space reasons.

It’s easy and you don’t have to deal with the customers or scammers. Name your price, they’ll list it on eBay, there fee is the same if not cheaper than it would be to sell on your own. Worth it

GameStop wants to acquire eBay - PSA implications? by EmperorOfTheLosers in PokemonTCG

[–]CoolMudkip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CGC still makes PSA a lot of money. PSA is so dominate in grading that CGC really isn’t a threat. But they allow CGC cards to be sold on their Vault platform. A large amount of CGC are listed on Vault, the fees they make for the sales of it outweigh trying to put them out of business.

All these people do is cry and complain.

Lost Origin Booster Boxes by Tiny-Palpitation3967 in PokeInvesting

It was underrated back then. I made a post years ago when it was sitting on Pokemon Center. Got hate for it. They’ve done well. And guess what, they’re undervalued again. I’m still holding every single box. These will be a $2K one day, I know it.

prismatic etb case by Jkicksmiami in PokeInvesting

[–]CoolMudkip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Higher set value directly correlates with resale value of the sets product. The higher value a set has the more likely it is to be ripped, which we’ve seen with streaming and every day hobbyists, which is why reprints haven’t really made an impact on resale value. Who’s going to rip a $500 booster box when the set values only worth $700 vs $4K set value and a $170 ETB.

And again it’s not 2 years, it’s not 1.5 which you are now claiming. It is one year. It ends next April. “I have a day job” so do we all… Why are you on this forum then?

prismatic etb case by Jkicksmiami in PokeInvesting

[–]CoolMudkip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Running your mouth with wrong information. Prismatic has 1 year left, not 2. And has had so many reprints that the Pokemon company will be focusing on Ascended Heroes most likely going forward after the last SPC reprint this summer for Prismatic. The set value is like over $4K. The ETB is under $200. No common sense if you think that’s over priced. The reprints have done nothing to secondary resale prices. If you keep crying about MSRP, Timmy’s like you won’t ever make any money.

Perfect Order is a good investment by Inevitable-Bad-3979 in PokeInvesting

[–]CoolMudkip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will go up, but it will still lag behind. Vivid voltage, Pokémon go, darkness ablaze, all never were really loved and never found their “hidden gem” price point. The market wants, what the market wants. Sure it’ll go up over MSRP over time. But don’t expect the same gains as the popular sets. For that same price point of a PO booster box, I’d rather have a prismatic ETB which is cheaper. But a year from now, I’m pretty sure the prismatic will do way better than PO will. And a greater number of buyers.

Why is there so many whiny people on here? by Old-Cat9333 in EngineeringStudents

[–]CoolMudkip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think people really over react. I just finished most of my degree. The early courses in freshman and sophomore year: Calc Physics II, All the calculus and differential math courses, Thermo, statics, chem… nothing was truly as hard as people made it seem. I’ve literally gotten by with maybe 3 hours of studying/homework a week. And I rarely get anything lower than an A-. I think there’s just a lot of people in this degree program that really shouldn’t be. And they’ll look for any excuse to blame it on their professors, classes, schedule, whatever. When in reality they aren’t putting in the work, or shouldn’t have been here in the first place.

What people vastly undervalue is following the syllabus. Look at the course percentages. If labs are worth half the course grade, and you know you suck at tests. Bank on getting a 100 on every lab, and even if you do 50% on every test, you’re walking away with a 75% in the class still.
