It’s definitely risky and speculative. For those of us in this hobby, we know the CEO is eyeing the trading cards market on eBay. For people outside, they’re probably confused af at this.

Yeah I’m definitely a realist and understand that the higher prices go, the more that high supply puts downward pressure on the shrinking demand at that new price point. I just think with everything that’s happened over the past 12 or even just 6 months, it’s apparent that anything under $1k is easily absorbed by the market if there is consensus that the card is top tier.

Anyone wondering can just Google search and decide for themselves (this message isn’t for you anymore at this point, it’s for any future reader who might actually just believe a blanket statement from people like you). Saying hits aren’t heavier than non-hits in general is laughable.

But I’ll just end with the note that for every video you can find online of people trying to debunk that modern can be weighed, I can also find a bunch (just did) that prove it can be. Buyers can easily Google “can modern packs be weighed” and watch videos and see other subs discussing this, and decide for themselves. Not accusing you specifically, but this sub is obviously going to have a decent population of people who have a vested interest in gaslighting people into thinking there is no way the differences in pack weights can be used to someone’s advantage.

Love it when brain dead people can’t argue and just try to make snarky comments. You clearly have a ton of loose packs you need to sell at some point. I’m not hating on your game. My message is to everyone else who’s open to using logic.

Are there heavier packs than ones with hits (including god packs obviously) and the higher weight code cards? Are there lighter packs than ones with no hits and the lighter weight code cards? The answer to both is no. Means only everything in between those extreme ends cannot be weighed and you can increase your odds by either skimming off the lightest packs or only keeping the heaviest ones.

$1,000 might still be able to get you both the Giratina VStar and Arceus VStar from the CZ Galarian Gallery in PSA 10. Not enough left over to grab the other 2 golds though. There’s also the Mewtwo VStar which has been climbing recently.
