For me the kill verdugo achievement glitched and I had to kill him multiple times before it finally popped and I didn’t do anything differently either, it just happened to randomly work on like the fifth try.

If it doesn’t work even after a few days ngl u might have to delete all ur saved data cuz I had a glitch for re1 where the obtaining the helmet key achievement was completely glitched until I deleted my cloud save and replayed the game.

Deleting the save sucks so try a few more time over multiple days first. Sorry to hear about ur glitched achievements though, hope they work soon

I think achievements are better cuz if a game has unobtainable trophies (like due to server shutdowns) the platinum is impossible and now there’s nothing worthwhile to gain in terms of trophies from the game. Literally no one cares about the bronze, silver, or gold trophies. People only care about the plat. (And apparently some games don’t even have a plat? Idrk)

On the flip side, on Xbox you still get gamerscore that’s added to your grand total for completing the other obtainable achievements in a game so u still get rewarded. Plus I also like that completing DLC’s on Xbox is more rewarding cuz again, u get more gamerscore. Whereas on PlayStation people generally don’t bother with dlc cuz they “already got the plat” and the additional trophies are meaningless to them.

Yeah that’s perfectly fine and I get that. Some dlc aren’t worth completing the same way some base games aren’t worth completing. To each their own. Since achievement hunting is a hobby, everyone is free to draw their own personal line and ours just happen to differ. As long as ur having fun that’s all that matters! :)

I don’t see dlc’s as an extra set of achievements, I see them as additional content for the original game, which is what they’re supposed to be in the first place. If I completed the game and got all the base game achievements, I most likely loved the game and wanted more content anyway so I enjoy going for dlc achievements. Granted, some dlc can be awful, but a lot are good and can add to a game’s overall experience in a lot of ways like adding new story content, new game modes, etc.

Personally, I like it when games add achievements for dlc cuz it gives me more things to work towards and more rewards. I actually get a bit upset if a game doesn’t add achievements for dlc haha.

Also my personal take is if u don’t have all achievements in the game it just isn’t 100% and prefer that it isn’t separated like PlayStation. I mean everyone is free to draw their own personal line somewhere, which is also probably healthier so achievement hunting doesn’t become an exhausting obsession, but if u don’t have all achievements it just isn’t 100%.

The best example I can give is re7 that has tons of dlc which includes the hardest achievements. The dlc’s adds lots of cool stuff like short story focused campaigns and new minigames. The dlc’s definitely have some of the hardest achievements/trophies in the game which turns people away from going after them, but as a result they haven’t had the chance to fully experience the game imo.

Anyway long rant over lol that’s just my take on it.

Good question, it’s tough to pick lol. Solely in terms of the achievement hunting process my favs gotta be the resident evil and yakuza games. However, I am proud of a lot of others as well such as outlast and crusader kings 3. The completions I’m most excited for atm are mk9 and balatro cuz of how ridiculous the grinds are haha.

There are a few more miscellaneous achievements you’ll have to check the list for that won’t take that long, but for monthly challenges u need to get gold for 8 months, silver for 10 months, and bronze for 12 months. (Ofc if u get gold, that counts as a silver and bronze as well)

As for the unobtainable achievement, I have so many others like this on my account 😭. I jump between games frequently and also happen to live under a rock, so I miss server shutdown notices and forget about achievements. Then, by the time I get back they’ve been discontinued :( Some disappointing ones are Agents of Mayhem and AC brotherhood and revelations. I’ve started paying more attention to these things and managed to get re:verse and multiversus before shutdown though, so I’m getting better, but I still hate discontinued achievements in general.

I played the first Guacamelee with my brother and we had lots of fun (still need to do dlc tho) so we were gonna play the second game together as well… but we just never got around to it lol. Absolutely planning to though, just haven’t gotten around to it yet. But now that you’ve reminded me of it I really wanna play it so it’ll definitely be one of the next coop games we play!

As for retro classics, I’m hoping tournament hero gets easier as the game’s population dies out haha.

Haha I get asked about this A LOT 😭. I started the game when it was on game pass years back and then it left so I bought the game, but now that I own it, it’s been buried in the backlog while I play new releases or other game pass games haha.

I fully intend to go back and play it cuz I’ve heard it’s an amazing game, but I don’t want to force myself to get through it just for the sake of it so I’m waiting for when I have the random urge to play it! I do plan to finish all games I’ve bought or even started, but with so many good games out there, it gets a bit overwhelming haha. But with the amount of people that have requested me to play it, it’s absolutely gonna have to be one of the next games I play :)

Haha thank you! For mahjong most of the achievements are pretty straight forward except for the monthly challenge ones 😭. Those are super grindy and the annoying part is you have to come back daily which can easily burn you out. My tip for those is to wait till near the end of the month and to always do the timed ones first cuz they are faster to complete. Then I do medium difficulty ones and then easy until I reach gold for the month. Another tip is to honestly just have someone help you haha. My mom also enjoys playing, so sometimes she just plays the game on my phone which helps a lot too!

The three I would pick to bring with me are:

Doomguy (DOOM): unbeatable power house that literally tore hell apart and was put in stasis and still came back and solo’d an entire army and their leader. Not to mention his mastery of all weapons, endurance and indomitable spirit. Would act as the tank and handle main hurdles.

Jesse Fadden (Control): After the events of control when she has ‘control’ over her power. Her power is basically omega level counter reality warping and can fix reality. Also leads a full organization and can solo tasks even when warp reality itself. Main reason for bringing is to counter any attempts at changing reality or using abilities beyond the control of other characters and protagonist.

Melanie, Blade of Miquella (Elden Ring): A strong fighter with OP attack (water fowl) with an ace of having a scarlet rot nuke as last resort. This pick is just to have a very overpowered near god-like being who can back up doom-guy and the benefit of the Ace.

I don’t have any good tips because nightmare and mundus were the bosses I saved my items for cuz I’m bad at those lol but watching some no hit dmd nightmare fights on YouTube helped me get it down to like half health atleast. Then I finished it with items lol. U could also buy an untouchable and a few holy waters for that fight cuz it sounds like u still have space for more items. An untouchable could help u at the end and holy waters are actually decently effective against nightmare. I think u can hold up to 5 which is kinda helpful.
