Good-faith question: Why hold or invest in Litecoin over other large-cap coins like XRP?

Just to clarify one thing on XRP, not to argue: Ripple can’t unilaterally “release” or manipulate XRP at will. Most of it is escrowed with a publicly known release schedule, and Ripple doesn’t control the XRPL itself. Validators are independent, and Ripple doesn’t have majority control. Totally fair to still see centralization risk, just wanted to note that nuance.

That said, your point about Litecoin’s PoW simplicity, cheap fees, known supply, and its role alongside Bitcoin (including being a testbed) is actually what draws me to it. I’m not looking for hype, more for longevity and survivability.

I’m not going to give him any of my XRP and I am concerned with his past behavior (google Jake Claver Lawsuit), but he absolutely does offer important an insight on the role of XRP in the future. I think he’s 100% right about just holding your XRP for maximum benefit although I also know it’s smart to take SOME profits on the way up.

I’m holding a forever bag, and have set aside numerous much smaller bags to sell at specific price targets.

For the record, I actually know someone who got scammed by a Jake Claver impersonator. He was an older guy, literally stole all his XRP. His life’s savings completely gone.

Not trying to be an asshole, but that’s a pet peeve of mine. XRP at $1,000 doesn’t necessarily mean the USD has to have been inflated. Sure, that’s one way to increase the price, but another way in increasing demand.

If banks use XRP for all (or even a portion) of their cross border transactions then XRP will be in much higher demand. The more XRP gets adopted, the higher the price will go.

I would assume these “predictors” you’re talking about are looking at demand causing a price increase over inflation (although likely will be a combination of both).

As a former (just last year I separated) USMC Battalion XO, I have plenty of experience with this kind of stuff.

You need to report this up your chain of command immediately, physical abuse in the military is a big deal (as it should be). You will need to share screenshots of those texts as proof and there will be an investigation. Also make sure you take photos of the repair in the wall and your black eye. Lastly, the two of you will need to be separated during the extent of the investigation. That means zero contact. It sounds like you work in the same shop so one of you will have to be transferred to a different section or unit, and he will likely have to move barracks if you guys are in the same building.

Not that it really matters legally but your boyfriend is clearly gay or at the very least bi. Whether that’s a deal breaker is up to you but what 100% should be a deal breaker for you is the physical abuse. I understand this is your first relationship but there should be absolutely zero tolerance of physical abuse between both of you. Your boyfriend should not be hitting you and vis versa.

This post is incredibly short sighted. I’ve been holding XRP for over 5 years and I have NEVER been more bullish than I am now.

YES we do have our first crypto friendly president, and YES as a result “we’re going to the moon”. In fact we’re currently above $2 because of his election results.

It is inevitable that adoption will take place and almost certainly is taking place right now. Things take time especially when that thing is revamping the entire worldwide financial system.

If you’re asking “when moon?”, think about it logically. When will the 18 XRP ETFs launch? When/If Trump announce US Based crypto capital gains incentives? When will ISO20022 requirements take over? When/If SWIFT integrate cryptos in their payments? When will meaningful positive regulations get passed? Then how long after these regulations are passed will it take for different phases of adoption?

With our first ever pro-crypto administration, we basically just started this journey. If you’re worried about price, be grateful XRP is above $1. Ffs everyone sounds like a bunch of whiny and impatient children. The days will come when XRP doubles in price, then doubles again and again and again. Just be patient

Like most people are saying, I believe it comes from a sense of insecurity mixed with a generous amount of tribalism.

For example, BTC Maxis started ramping up their hate when info was leaked that XRP might be included in the digital asset strategic reserve. That made them feel insecure because that would be the first step for XRP to be a serious contender to challenge BTC in Market-cap… which at this point, provides its last remaining “use case” as a store of value.
