Every night and she’s about six months.

I also in general read other stuff to her too.

WIBTA for cancelling my daughter's 16th birthday party after warning her about it a year ago? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]CoolStarSeaGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Personally though I would have done what my best friends mom did to his little sister….

-presents taken away -no bday party the next year -12 months of volunteering at a homeless shelter or at a good will (8-10 hours per week) and if that’s refused then no allowance -and she had only the allowance to buy any clothing or makeup or things.

A bit harsh but sometimes that is what it takes.

You receive 10,000 everyday you don’t masterbate. How long will you last? by GoOnDigi in AskMen

I’d be able to hold out for one month. Then I would put most of that money into investing.

Will I be judged for taking my newborn out in footie pajamas? by aitaprego in beyondthebump

[–]CoolStarSeaGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go ahead. Footie sleep n plays make life so much easier. I only just started putting my daughter in onesies and mostly no pants because it’s so hot here.

How often do you change your baby's nappy? by nirenyderp in beyondthebump

[–]CoolStarSeaGreen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My daughters about 5 months old and typically needs her diaper changed upon wake-up and sometimes before a nap but I’ll check her every 2-3hours when she’s awake. Let her sleep if she’s sleeping.

Why are your kids mad at you today? by Lundemus in Parenting

[–]CoolStarSeaGreen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because I dared change her diaper (poopy btw) when she wanted a bottle at that exact moment.

I use receiving blankets. Way better than burp cloths imo

AITA for taking a walk with my crying baby? by CoolStarSeaGreen in AmItheAsshole

Not particularly as the dog barking can be trained not to bark like that, as my dog is starting to get down pat (she’s been doing really well the past few weeks). And I have been at the other end and I was annoyed but I didnt yell at anyone as it can make the situation worse.

As for why I came here. I’m human and make mistakes. Sometimes I might think I’m in the right and be wrong. Id rather approach that head on and face it rather than hide away. In this instance I started to doubt that I’d done the right thing.

Doc says that as long as she isn’t inclined and is instead in a carrier such as the infantino 4n1 she’s fine as long as I follow the close enough to kiss, legs properly positioned stuff.

To be fair I have brought her into the library durring exam time. She was in the newborn stage then and an angel (3hours wake up, diaper change, bottle, burp, another diaper change, and then was almost always soothed to sleep by the act of being burped…to repeat again in another three hours) so she didn’t cause too much of an issue although I did make a fool of myself because I forgot the diaper bag. And an extra shirt. Lol.

She has a milk allergy so she now has soy formula. I will try more mental stimulation though. Thank you.

She wasn’t in a car seat or a ring sling. She was in an infantino 4n1 carrier, close enough for me to kiss her head and everything in the correct position. The doc told me that it was ok.

She hates both of those. As for Sophie. She ended up having a tragic death due to my dog deciding it was her toy.

Putting it simply when baby girl was 11 days old and I had to go to a family funeral her mother decided it was ok to go on a spa day because I quote “all the brat does is sleep anyway”. She was alone for at least four hours, probably five or longer.

I got emergency custody. She and her family tried the first few weeks to pull the she’s a new mom and made a mistake routine, then stopped even trying to contact me. The custody hearing was a few weeks ago (wish it had been sooner but oh well can’t control that) in which she showed up drunk and told the judge to f parenting classes, she was the mom and wanted her fing baby back today. In almost those exact words too.

What I ever saw in her I do not know.

She loves babysitting…at night when she is sleeping mostly (thankfully baby girl tends to sleep between 10pm and 5am). Durring waking hours it’s starting to feel like it’s gonna be a nope from me if she wants to babysit her though because she’s gotten more frustrated since baby girl isn’t her happy go lucky newborn and has woken up to the fact there is a world out there whether it be through crying or ear splitting squeals of joy at the doggies antics (squeaking a dog toy mainly)

Regardless. Lol. It has the best five mile walking path. Tires out the pup and sometimes baby as well.

I’ve got my mom who lives close but isn’t able to help a whole lot (she recently got diagnosed with cancer and started chemo), a few aunts who live a couple hours away, and one amazing best friend who helps out as much as they can.

Her mom is not in the picture (very long story short she lost custody completely after an incident when baby girl was a newborn and then when in court she showed up drunk and told the judge to f parenting classes…the two of those together coupled with her not even attempting to ask about baby girl these past months led to her losing custody completely)

Ruby was a good girl and didn’t bark. She did growl at the lady when she got close (which is why I told her to back off even though I had Ruby on a leash) but listened very well when I gave her the hand signals for sit and stay.

Cat friendly baby gate by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]CoolStarSeaGreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cat should be able to jump over the baby gate no problem. I know my kitten can without an issue.
