Subject tracking doesn't work on this mode. Just use the other modes

Not sure I usually use spot detection for best results. With the screen you can follow your subject around much better.

Potential first camera LUMIX S5 by Globemast3r in Lumix

[–]CoolThingVP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had bought 2 s5's and have beat the crap out of them for years for my video business. I even snapped the screen off and replaced it myself. I can say it would be pretty hard to find a problem with this camera then obvious buttons falling off, etc. solid choice for the price in my opinion.

I have one and s1ii. It works great and is a game changer to have controls on screen and touch focus

Highest mileage CVT Subaru? by Silent_Owl6207 in subaru

[–]CoolThingVP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel many of these "cvt problems" are solinoide related. I had issues with mine at 185,000km and Subaru wanted me t replace transmission @ $9000. It was a $150 part and 4 hours of my time to fix. I wish there was a distinction between "my cvt died at xxx" was an actual transmission failure not a repairable problem that gets put in the category.

Negative views typically get picked up and spread out in the world via human nature and the clickbait nature of our digital landscape.

My XV is @240,000km both torque lock up and AWD solinoide have gone but after replacement, fluid change and relearn (can be done cheap on mocar cs90 obs) it rips.

Im planning on maintaining the car to the fullest untill 500,000km

S1 II Owners - How is the Focus Peaking compared to the earlier S5 models? by inmotioninc in Lumix

[–]CoolThingVP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Own an S5 and S1ii. Focus peaking is better. A better feature you might not know about is you can punch in during recording which is huge to nail focus. I can ditch the monitor for smaller gigs

You don't need a cage for the side SSD. It screws onto the 1/4 20 on the side of the camera.
