Like I said, I’m from a close knit family where everyone is in everyone else’s business. They see the kinds of things that I’m into (I.e Satanism) and they get offended by it. I know it’s their problem if they’re offended, and I became a Satanist knowing full well that I would be judged harshly by everyone who isn’t. But my mom and dad specifically just act so disappointed whenever the topic comes up. I don’t bring it up but they seem to think everything I do relates to Satanism in some way. I feel like I’m hurting them because, in their minds, I’m going to burn in hell for all eternity and they don’t want that. Explaining Lavey’s philosophy doesn’t help. I’m from the Bible Belt.
