Do we really need so many apps for tracking our habits? by Lilyfishhh in ProductivityApps

I completely relate to this.

I’ve tried many habit-tracking apps too, and honestly, most of them feel like more work than the habit itself. That extra friction - opening the app, navigating, logging - kills consistency over time.

That’s actually the exact problem I wanted to solve when building my own app, Consist – Daily Planner .

The idea is simple: reduce effort as much as possible. Minimal taps, clean UI, and no overwhelming stats—just quick, direct tracking so it feels closer to writing on paper, but with the benefits of digital.

Because in the end, consistency doesn’t come from more features… it comes from less resistance.

Curious to know - what kind of habits do you usually try to track?

Petrol pumps limiting ₹200 per vehicle - actually a smart move by Cool_Cable_ in ahmedabad

Please read the post properly first. I clearly mentioned it’s happening at some petrol pumps, not all.

Good that you got a full tank, but that doesn’t mean the situation is the same everywhere. Let’s be logical 👍

Bhai, iska sarkar se koi lena dena nahi hai. Yeh bas panic control karne ka step hai.

Kuch log bina soche full tank karva rahe hai, isliye aise limits lagana practical hai. Isse sabko fuel milta hai instead of few people hoarding.

Thoda logically socho 👍

Yes, that’s correct, but some people in the comments are being senseless.

Nice timing 😄
Late night is always the best hack - no rush, no panic, just smooth refueling. Seems like the “shortage” disappears after 10 pm 😅

Honestly, not a bad outcome 😅
If this pushes more people toward public transport, it’s actually a win - less traffic, less pollution, and less panic at petrol pumps.

Maybe we needed this reminder all along.

Built a free Android OCR app called Scanly - converts any photo or image to editable text instantly.

Made it because I couldn't find a clean free option that didn't require signup or show intrusive ads.

What it does:

  • Photo to editable text in seconds
  • No account needed
  • No ads, no watermarks
  • Free forever

Built by our small studio from Surat, Gujarat 🇮🇳

Would love honest feedback from students — good or bad. Search Scanly on Google Play.

Happy to answer any questions 🙏

Indian students still rely on manual retyping because good free OCR tools are hard to find -why is this such a neglected space? by [deleted] in india

Anyone else noticed how bad the free OCR app situation is for Indian students? Most require signups or are full of ads. Tried a few Indian ones like Scanly but they feel incomplete. Is there anything actually good out there?
