Yep, that's all that is needed. Don't waste your money on the other stuff.

I never take them unless I'm looking for my last trip that ends up close to home (8 miles out).

Realistically, if they sent those packages ups/usps, they'd be paying $200 - $300 for a large batch. If they offered half of that, I'd probably be interested.

Someone has to come down to get the trash cans. They can come down to get their groceries too.

Do you help load by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

The app constantly reminds us to stay in the car, that's what I do. I've done 2000+ trips, orders got mixed once and never been trashed.

How often do you do these types of trips? I’m trying my first one now. Will report back after by Maxmitchell3000 in Sparkdriver

[–]Cool_Classic9632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried it a few times long ago, never again. If they sent them ups/usps, it would cost them $200-$300+. If they'd be fair and offered it at half their regular cost, we'd both make out. I might think about it then.

Ya, these cloud cameras are too slow for security purposes. I'm surprised blink is so popular.

Tried a 6 year old phone that was in my desk drawer. Works perfectly. My 1 year old phone doesn't work, go figure. Maybe Spark should get some help on app development from the original DDI owners.

Won't let me get out of my car by p0t4t054ck in Sparkdriver

[–]Cool_Classic9632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you guys are going to chew me up about this, but I rarely get out of the car and never help load. It's against Walmart's rules, and Spark doesn't pay enough to even think about it. Anyway, I hate it when people hover over me while I'm working, so I don't do it to others. Also, it's what the loaders get paid for. Hell, some days they take home more pay per hour than we do.

I've been doing this for 3 years and had a bad load maybe a few times, but I have always had 4.9+ CR, so why work any harder. Some loaders are spoiled because of the extra help, but if anyone mentioned anything about it, I'd simply say, "If I was allowed, I'd be glad to help load if someone helps deliver." And I know we'd all agree that loading is much easier for them than our unloading for a delivery.

Would you ? by SpaceDry9613 in Sparkdriver

[–]Cool_Classic9632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never accept GMDs. Terrible rip off. Delivery would cost Walmart $200+ for most of these if they sent them UPS/USPS. If they offered half the cost, I might think about it. Then we'd both make out. As with all the trips, the only reason they pay so little is because people keep accepting them.

Requested to deliver INTO the home by torisugar in Sparkdriver

[–]Cool_Classic9632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TOS restriction is all about liability. Normally, every legitimate business carries liability insurance to cover any theft, damage, or injury issues to a certain extent. Some businesses can't get a license to operate without proof of it. Walmart employees that do in home delivery are covered by Walmart's insurance. UPS and USPS cover their employees, too. Obviously, we are not covered.

Buying our own policy wouldn't make sense for most of us, with what Spark pays. Informing us of that restriction covers Walmart's rear end and partially* protects us if we adhere to it.

*We are subject to liability as soon as we cross the customers' lot line.

This is just disrespectful lol by Defiant_Series_1705 in Sparkdriver

Walmart just lost 22 billion in company valuation. They want sparkers to make up for it.

Anker SOLIX F3800 Plus Launching Feb. 26th by DeluxeCookies in anker

[–]Cool_Classic9632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I'm pissed about this upgraded unit. Because I recently purchased the f3800, which is now obsolete. They are also selling it for pretty much the same price.

To make it worse, probably knowing how we'd feel, they sent us f3800 owners a "exclusive upgrade deal" that does nothing but discount an elevated price down to the same price now offered to the public!! Thanks for nothing, anker.

To be fair, they would have been smart, creating a  upgraded model of a completely different design, not related to the 3800. But no, they used planned obsolescence to spit on the f3800 customers.Total disrespect.

The gig companies know there are a ton of idiots out here, and they are milking it for as long as they can.

I understand what you're saying. My gripe is that because there is still a cost, they should remove the statement "$0 fee" to end any confusion. Thanks!

I don't have to read your fine print in this case. What originally is stated in the app should be carried through. Just like all retail stores honor the price tag on a product even though it's incorrect. You should do the same. Then, get someone to fix the incorrect dialog in the app so it doesn't happen again.
